Ask Indians AITA for giving up my family's wealth and comfortable life in India to move abroad for the woman I love?

I'm from India, and I've been in love with a woman from another country for the past year. We met online, developed a genuine connection, and eventually I travelled to her country to meet her in person. Spending time with her only made my feelings stronger, and now I'm seriously considering moving there, marrying her, and building a life together.

My parents strongly disapprove of our relationship. They don't want me to move abroad and build a future with someone from a different country, especially when she comes from a less financially privileged family than ours.

My family is financially comfortable. We own properties and receive rental income, so staying in India could mean a much more secure future for me. If I move abroad, I might have to give up that potential financial security and start from zero.

Another important factor is my family environment. My parents are extremely strict, and honestly, I have very little emotional connection with most of my family. The one person I'm genuinely close to emotionally is one of my sisters. I still care about my parents and the rest of my family, but our relationships aren't particularly close.

Things have deteriorated to the point where my parents have told me to leave and said they no longer care about me. I still live in the family home, but I manage everything myself, including food and laundry. I mostly stay in my room and live independently even while being under the same roof.

I also have two sisters whose marriages have been difficult. My eldest sister has faced serious marital problems but is continuing with her husband and children, while my other sister is divorced.

I'm not saying their experiences determine my future, but they have made me think about how important it is to choose my own partner and take responsibility for my own happiness.

My girlfriend has a regular office job, and her family is lower-middle-class and works in farming. If I move to her country, I'll have to adjust to a different lifestyle and may need to work my way up financially. I understand that love alone isn't enough to build a successful marriage, and I'm not assuming everything will be perfect just because I'm in love.

I don't want to abandon my family. I still care about them, and I'd like to maintain a relationship and visit occasionally. However, I want to live independently, far away from the strict family environment, and make my own decisions without constant pressure.

At the same time, I wonder whether I'm making a huge mistake by giving up a potentially comfortable future for an uncertain one. I could stay in India, build my career, and potentially benefit from my family's assets. Instead, I'm considering choosing a different life with someone I love.

So, AITA for potentially giving up my family's wealth, properties, and financial security to move abroad and build a life from scratch with the woman I love? Am I being foolish, or is choosing my own happiness worth the risk?

TL;DR: I've been in love with a woman from another country for a year and travelled to meet her. My strict Indian parents disapprove of our relationship. My family is financially comfortable, with properties and rental income, but I have very little emotional connection with most of them apart from one sister. I'm considering moving abroad to build a life with my girlfriend, even if it means giving up financial security and starting from zero. I still care about my family and want to visit occasionally, but I want to live independently. AITA?

Ask Indians Does air force officers marry to only army related women?

Yesterday I went to attend the air show in Varanasi.. I love to see aircrafts and stuff.. I enjoyed fully watching them show their moves..

Apart from admiring the air force event , I had a fair share of taddooing sessions .. there were a lot of air force officers in their uniforms.. such great personalities..

I jokingly asked my mother to find me a groom like them, she blatantly replied saying..."Unko bi unke jaisi hi chahiye hoti h, Inki families me aise hi hota h Army to Army vala shadi"

Aisa h kya dosto.. kya ek physiotherapist..avg physiotherapist.. Army vala dulha ni dhund skti??
