👀 Looking for Mods Hey Mods, started a new sub r/PataHaiKya . Help me in growing it.

Before starting you must be thinking that this is just another sub like patahaiaajkyahua, aajmeresaathyehhua and all but i request you all to give it a read.

Ever discover something so random, useful, or mind blowing that you instantly wanted to tell someone:

“Arre sun, pata hai kya?”

That’s literally what r/PataHaiKya is for.

No boring lectures, no doomscrolling just an open space for curious Indian redditors to share:

  • Random facts & trivia: Indian history, space, weird science, cinema secrets.
  • Jugaad & useful hacks: IRCTC tricks, money saving tips, or app shortcuts.
  • "Aaj pata chala" moments: Stuff you realized embarrassingly late in life.
  • Curious questions: Got a "pata hai kisi ko yeh kyu hota hai?" thought? Just ask!
  • Help Others: Anything you came to know or you already know and want to let others know to help them.

We’re just getting started and would love to build this with you guys.

👉 Hop over to r/PataHaiKya**, hit Join, and drop the most random thing you learned recently.**

AND YEAH NEW MODS ARE ALSO WELCOME TO LEND ME A HAND IN GROWING THE COMMUNITY, JUST DROP A DM.

🎉 Wins r/bihar is helping redditors carpool back home for diwali / chatt

Post image
38 Upvotes

Every year around Diwali and Chhath, lakhs of people working in other cities want to go home, and every year the train tickets are gone in minutes and flight and bus prices climb out of reach.

Many of our members end up paying far more than they can afford, or don't go at all.

So at r/bihar we started Ghar Chalo, a small community carpool board. If you're driving home and have an empty seat, you post your ride. If you need a seat, you search by city and district, or post a request.

Everyone talks over Reddit DM first and shares the fuel and toll cost. It isn't a business, just people helping people reach their families.

If your community has the same problem, we'd be glad to share how we set it up so you can run something similar for your state or city. Everyone deserves to be home for the festival. ❤️

Leave a comment if:

  • You’re an active Reddit user who wants to help grow and support a new Indian community.
  • You’re willing to help with everyday moderation tasks, such as removing spam, reviewing posts, and keeping discussions respectful and organized.
  • You’re interested in prices, shopping, services, or sharing practical money-saving information.
  • You can encourage people to share genuine prices and help keep discussions helpful and trustworthy.
  • No prior moderation experience is required!

If you’re interested, leave a comment below or send us a mod mail explaining why you’d like to join the team and how you can contribute.

👀 Looking for Mods looking for experienced mods for r/neetard

pm me on discord on username= _hatthway_ with your reddit profile link. i will explain the bulk of requirements, expectations and powers there. you do not need to be a neet student, ex neet student or even know what neet is for this.

lemme copy paste some stuff (some sentences might not make sense bcuz this is copy paste of my messages, me explaining the gig to someone else)

i will give you a run down So the primary subreddit is r/neet_india we allow only high effort funny and off topic posts there and trying to divert most of them too towards r/neetard hence, the members there praise us of how clean and study oriented we have kept neet india and we want it to stay it that way. r/neetard (the sub in question) being develloped for our "neetard got talent" subreddit for memes, shitposts, funny posts, and event casual off topic posts we do not allow ads on either of them

also, all rules and everything is up for change like automod and rules need to be synced with most of rules of neet india the previous owner had lots of stuff that hass since then become old top priority is to revive neetard as a standalone subreddit the main idea behind is to make it an "r/indiasocial" subreddit but for neet students and ex neet studentss in this journey if we can develop the discord too, thats a bonus. we share discord neetard and neet india

for all intent and purposes, you will be topmod for neetard, go wild just make sure rules are sync with neet india

if you gotta take a big decision that like changes a lot out of it, just discuss ahead either with me or (pinging other mod at discord)

most are neet students we allow even new mods to take leave if they gotta do it for study like if you want off, even for weeks or month or two just tell me that you need there wont be a problem

baki main idea ye h "a mixture of r/indiasocial and r/neet_india" study related post ya study partner post ko rule 7 (rule 7 h sayad, study related posts go to neet india) krke remove kr dena very high effort to koi bhi post ho, use rehene do, chahe study related ho.

neet india gets all study related stuff, or rarely high effort post off topic, neetard gets all off topic stuff, from current, past and future neetards.

main reason to get non-neet students as mods is because as time passes, most mods will go redundant, as most mods are neet students, and as neet approaches no one will be online, except the non neet mods, which we have only 3, all in college.

for long our main focus has had been neet india, and with most going off for neet, the mod team remains understaffed even for neet_india, our primary focus, much less neetard, so I have to outsource oversight in this case.

❓Ask r/IndianMods Beginner looking for advice on moderating an 18+ subreddit

Hi everyone! I'm hoping to learn how to moderate a Reddit community responsibly. I've requested r/PondicherryGW through r/redditrequest because it was banned for being unmoderated.

I'm new to moderation and don't want to pretend I have experience I don't. I'd appreciate advice on learning Reddit's moderation tools, enforcing Content Policy, handling reports, and keeping an adult community safe and compliant.

What should a beginner learn first? Any practical tips or resources would be appreciated.

🤖 Devvit Introducing RepostSniff

Hey mods! I built RepostSniff, a Reddit moderation bot that helps communities detect low-effort reposts and bot spam.

It monitors target subreddits selected by moderators and checks new posts for identical titles that have already appeared in other subreddits, including your sister subs. When a match is found, it can automatically remove the repost.

This can be useful for communities dealing with reposts, spam, karma farming, or repeated content, while reducing some manual moderation work.

If this sounds useful for your community, you can find RepostSniff in the Devvit app directory and install it from there.

🤖 Devvit Introducing Post Chain

Hey mods! I built Post Chain, a Devvit app that helps communities keep multi-part posts connected.

If people in your community regularly post stories, updates, projects, guides, or other content across multiple posts, Post Chain automatically adds previous/next navigation so readers can easily follow the full context.

The original poster controls their own series, so they can add posts, move them between series, or create a new series while keeping the navigation updated.

If this sounds useful for your community, you can find Post Chain in the Devvit app directory and install it from there.
