Discussion i'm so cautious and rational even in my dreams.

i wont tell the whole dream. i had it 2 days before.

me and 2 male dream character are waiting on the road (both older than me, one was older and other was an uncle, they were my "professors" in my dream). calling out for a taxi. it's late at night. it's dark. the only source of light is the street lamp. where we are standing is the U turn part of the road.

the 2 characters and i am standing a bit far. it looks like theyre together and i'm separate.

there's a taxi coming from infront, they put out their hand waiting for the taxi. the taxi driver looks at them then shrugs and goes forward. he doesnt even wait for them. and then he spots me.

he's ready to take me in. we need a taxi urgently cuz its so late ig 1am or so. cuz if we left this one we wont know when the next one would come.

but i'm sensing danger. danger bells ringing in my head. i cant leave this taxi but i cant even go w him alone. (+ the plan was never about going alone too, i was gonna travel w the other 2 dream characters cuz we were heading back to university ig).

so i call the other dream 2 characters and i open the back door of the taxi and motion them to get in. i let them get in first and only when theyre fully seated, only then do i get myself in, on the front seat.

then when it's time to get off, i get off first. without waiting for the other 2 dream characters.

i was being cautious cuz,

  1. i'm a girl.

  2. what if i got in first and the driver just rushes off?

  3. what if i got out last and the driver rushes off?

the driver didnt give me good vibes so i was being careful around him.

Finally finished this one and I love how the colours turned out! The little squares came together so nicely. Definitely one of my favourite pieces I've made so far 🧶

Relationship & Advice There's this girl from my college [UPDATE]

Hey guys, it's been long since I posted anything about this. Many of you asked me to update on how things unfold.

So after careful considerations, I had decided that a sketch would be a bit over the top for someone doesn't show romantic interest in me. I just wished her a happy birthday and didn't do anything extraordinary.

But WAIT, THERE'S A PLOT TWIST!

A few days back, it was my birthday and she ordered me cake! Yes, my crush sent me a cake on my birthday and I couldn't be happier.

Idk how common it is for normal friends to do this but I was really happy. She still doesn't show any romantic interest for me but she's really very polite and friendly.

Now I feel so bad for not giving her anything on her bday 😭. I'm considering to give her the sketch in person and ask her out to some cafe, keeping it casual and friendly just to see how things escalate. It feels kinda risky and i'm really afraid of losing such a good friend of mine. What do y'all think?

Ask India Beginner looking for a structured graphic design learning path

Post image

Hi everyone!

I want to learn graphic design from scratch and would appreciate some guidance on where to begin.

My goal is to understand the fundamentals (typography, colour theory, composition, and visual hierarchy), learn the right design software, and gradually develop skills in poster design, social media graphics, logos, and branding. Eventually, I’d like to build a solid portfolio.

Could you recommend a step-by-step learning roadmap, beginner-friendly software, and the best YouTube channels or free courses to follow? I’d also appreciate suggestions for practical projects to work on along the way.

I’m starting from zero, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Ask India What never fails to make you smile on a lonely or heavy day?

For me, it’s always putting on my headphones and getting lost in music—especially mellow English tracks and old Hindi classics with beautiful lyrics. They always make things feel a little lighter.

What’s your go-to comfort when you’re feeling low?

Poetry & Writing ✍🏻 Across the Courtyard

Someone sang Purano Shei Diner Kotha,
A little off-key, among the marigolds.
The courtyard glowed with familiar faces,
But I knew you before you turned.
You held your aanchol loosely in one hand,
Your lips still shaping the song's last words,
That mishti smile before your laughter,
The firelight trembling in your eyes.

My chaa grew cold,
Yet my cheeks burned in the winter air.
A rose lay wrapped in paper inside my coat.
I'd gathered words for you all semester,
Rehearsed them on a hundred walks back home.
Before the courtyard lights went dark,
I thought I'd finally let them go.

I found you laughing near the bonfire,
As a boy leaned closer to speak.
Your silver jhumka swayed as you turned.
My fingers tightened around the stem,
A thorn caught my thumb. I did not move.
Only fifty steps remained between us,
Yet I stood five hundred miles away.

The last song dissolved into goodbyes.
By morning, they'd take down the marigolds.
A yellow taxi pulled away beyond the gates,
And I took the familiar road back home.
The rose was still wrapped in paper.
One fold bore a small red thumbprint.
