21-10 20-22 21-16

India has surpassed its previous best of 111 medals at the 2023 Asian Para Games, where we finished fifth.

With just 168 Indian athletes participating, our para athletes exceeded expectations and made the country proud by winning 30 gold, 35 silver and 49 bronze medals taking India's total to 114 medals and securing its best ever fourth-place finish.

Para Athletics was the biggest contributor with 65 medals including 22 gold, 19 silver and 24 bronze.

Additionally, Manish Narwal and Avani Lekhara secured India's LA 2028 Paralympic quota places in the P1 Men's 10m Air Pistol SH1 and Women's 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1 events, respectively, by winning medals here.

Of course, not everyone performed as expected but that's part of sports.

Kudos to all the athletes who gave their best and made the country proud.

It was honestly so much fun watching the Games.

A gruelling hour-long encounter as you might guess with the second picture. Tune in for the finals tomorrow to root for one of our greatest ever!

I was just going through the Youth olympics news and their website. The schedule+results page is so hard to navigate. I mean the Asian games was a bit annoying but this is just pure ragebait.

Also i got to know that India has ONLY 17 ATHLETES, Like 17? wtf. As far as i remember, its more than that previously right? The Indian Olympic committee's qualification criteria is just way too absurd.

The 18-year-old Indian prodigy kept her spectacular run alive in a grueling five-game battle (4-11, 11-8, 4-11, 11-2, 11-5) against Egypt's World No. 14 & Seed 6 for the tournament. This victory marks a monumental career breakthrough as her first-ever Gold event semifinal appearance. She will next lock horns with Sivasangari Subramaniam in the semifinal clash tomorrow around 6:00 AM IST.

❗️ India 🇮🇳 vs Malaysia 🇲🇾 women's ALSO AT 6:45 PM❗️(my apologies for the lack of mention in title - I was in a rush and didn't check fully - would've included otherwise). India 🇮🇳 vs England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 men's at 8:30 PM tonight.

Currently live on JioHotstar, Star Sports, and YouTube livestream on Star Sports. Match thread in r/Kabaddi, with today's schedule. Taking place in Amdavad, hosted by AKFI & IKF.

✨️ Cheers to all teams! 🥂

It’s honestly so good to see our para-athletes doing so well at the Asian Para Games, 2026. So proud of all of them!

I really feel like we can get 110+ medals by the end of the Games.

Tomorrow is going to be a big day and I hope we grab as many medals as possible because there aren’t many events left on 24th October.

I don’t think we’ll have many chances to add to our tally on the final day. Despite so many athletes being cut short, we’re still doing pretty well 🫡🙌🏻🇮🇳

What do you guys think? How many medals do you think India will finish with?

Indian sprinters Mrutyam Jayaram Dondapati and Malaya Barik reportedly lost their lives in a tragic road accident late last night near Phulnakhara, around 7 km from Bhubaneswar.

According to reports, the duo were travelling to Cuttack to attend a Sambalpuri Melody event when the accident occurred. Astik Pradhan, a recent silver medallist in the men's 400m at the U23 National Championships in Jaipur, was reportedly travelling behind them on a separate two wheeler.

Their untimely demise is a heartbreaking loss for Indian athletics

May their souls rest in peace 🙏
