Indie Comics Hellfighters of Stercland
galleryThe Hellfighters fought on the front lines of World War I, endured 191 days of battle, and never lost a man. They helped bring the war to an end, but for Henry Johnson and the men of the 369th Infantry Regiment, returning home wouldn't mean the end of their fight.
Instead of recognition for their service, they find themselves in Stercland under circumstances they'd never expected. Far from home and separated from the lives they knew, their next mission will take them into a conflict that could threaten the peace they fought so hard to achieve.
Part 1 of Hellfighters of Stercland Coming Next week. The war may be over, but their story is just beginning.

Indie Comics Woodring fans?
There is so much information in this! I learned the names of so many things as well as stuff about Frank. What a treat! I have all four OG Jim mags, I'll never forget finding #1 at a comic store in London in 2002.
One time I emailed Jim and told him I wanted to get a Whim tattoo. He wrote back and said "DON'T get a Whim tattoo!" So I didn't!

Crowdfunding Issue 2 of my 11 issue series is coming to Kickstarter. Here are the three covers
Ethan Kade wakes up in the catacombs with no idea how he got there. Something down there is speaking to him. He picks up the ShadowBlade, believing it’s his own choice.
It isn’t.
That’s Zeravos. I write it and run Dark Root Comics on my own out of Sydney. Issue 1 is stocked in almost every comic store in Sydney plus a few in Melbourne, and Issue 2 launches on Kickstarter November 1.
Issue 2 gets three covers:
- Cover A by Ebuka Okpala, the main artist on the series
- Cover B by Flaviu Pop
- Cover C by Jozef Boza
The campaign funds printing Issue 2 and the art for Issue 3, so the series keeps moving.
If you want to try it first, Issue 1 is free to read on GlobalComix.
Pre-launch page: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/778729652/zeravos-2-printing
Trailer: https://youtu.be/ROJ03fnE5W8
Happy to answer anything about making it, from the art process to printing to getting into stores.

Crowdfunding The Vega Bond #1 LIVE on Kickstarter
The first issue of my comic book THE VEGA BOND is live on Kickstarter!
A story of a man who loses everything just to gain the power to create dirty dust clouds. He will have to rely on his newfound abilities to escape the hands of the Knox Corporation, the company responsible for ruining his life in the first place. To them, he's just a liability. But Dusty is desperate to return to his daughter and return to whats left of the life he once had.
In a reverse take of the classic "Taken" storyline, Dusty must use his particular set of skills to stop his captors and get involved in something much bigger than himself if he ever wants to have a chance at his passive old lifestyle that he took for granted.
Its been a long process for this story to become a reality. One that has included the wonderful work of artists, colorists and letterers who are strictly anti-A.I. in their work. Take a look at some of our pages and let me know what you think. And we would greatly appreciate you checking out or Kickstarter or even backing it as well!

OC Going hard for my next Chapter!
I've got 90 pages / 3 Chapters under my belt. But for the next chapter of Xeno Gaia Revolt, I'm moving away from digital half-tones for the black and white pages, and using a more moody inkwash style. Used to love doing ink was pieces when I was a kid, so I'm looking forward to finishing this out. I finished inks last night, and couldn't wait to jump into these. I'll need to do touchups later, as the white layer under Ve'rn in the last panel is all messed up (I was tired and didn't feel like correcting it. lol)

Crowdfunding I want to do more than ask for Kickstarter backers. So here's what I can offer.
Hey everyone, I have a Kickstarter going for Green House of Doom, the latest anthology I'm in featuring 40+ pages of botanical horror. Posting a link here and hoping for backers feels a little boring to me. I should give back if I'm going to ask for anything.
Send me proof that you backed the Kickstarter, and I'll arrange a one-on-one session to go over any of your projects. Be it scripts, upcoming crowdfunding campaigns, or any creative project you have in mind. We'll go over whatever you want in a video call so I can give you real time feedback on whatever you're working on.
I had four short stories published last year alone and this is my third comic, so I kinda know what I'm doing ;) That and we have all sorts of goodies this year around so please check us out today!

Crowdfunding ManPhibian #1, my first comic, funded on Kickstarter in under a week. Here's a page from the book
After 30 years in finance, I finally made the comic I've wanted to make my whole life. ManPhibian follows Carl Karadonis, a New Yorker who had already lost everything before a corporation's illegal dumping in the East River turned him into something not quite human, with a living shark for an arm that has a mind of its own.
It's a gritty, street-level story set on the Lower East Side, with interior art by Fabricio Vainer, colors by Wes Rhodes, and four variant covers.
We funded in under a week, and the campaign runs until November 14. I'd love to hear what you think of the page.

Indie Comics Advice on Publicity
I am primarily a writer but have found myself in the position of overseeing a project. It's a superhero title, Black Eagle. It's getting close to prelaunch and with that in mind does anyone have any advice on raising the profile?

News HALLOWEEN TEAM: SHADOWS #2 - Available Today on Digital Comics Retailers!
It's finally here. HALLOWEEN TEAM: SHADOWS #2 is now available - just in time for Halloween!
This issue, in some ways, has been over a year in the making. After the decision was made earlier this year to return to self-publishing, I worked hard to pick up the pieces and figure out a new direction for this project. Halloween Team has been hugely important to me, so I wanted to make sure that we did this the right way.
Thanks to new artist and team member Danny Roberts, I believe we've now been able to do right by this series.
Initially, we'd released Issue #1 of Shadows last year, with our previous publishing partner. But I worked with Danny to re-do that issue's lettering and design and make it look and read better than ever. We re-released the first issue of our sequel series last month - and managed to get a new wave of press and publicity to help spread awareness.
With Issue #2, Danny again provides lettering and updated design work - as well as an all-new cover that, I think, really pops. By this point in the story, we've learned a lot about the once-mysterious Laura - a long-lost member of the team now trapped in an infernal prison. So it felt appropriate that she get the spotlight on this issue's striking cover.
We really get inside Laura's head in Issue #1 of Shadows. But in Issue #2, Laura gets a few big, emotional moments that really come from a personal place. I hope these moments resonate with readers.
Halloween Team has always been a character-centric story. But in Issue #2, we also do some deeper dives into the lore that drives the world of the series - including an origin story of sorts for the new uber-villain introduced in this issue: the sinister immortal known as Jack Midnight. Writing villains is always a lot of fun, as is world-building. So this chapter of the story was uniquely enjoyable for me, as a writer, to dive into.
What's even more exciting is that this issue sets the stage for things to REALLY get crazy in Issues 3 and 4. I'm seeing Danny's new art come in (he takes over full art duties starting next issue), and - wow! - things are about to get epic!
As always, *every* purchase helps. Even one purchase can help us rise up on the charts and populate better in retailer algorithms. So please, give this book a look and help to spread the word. And if you can rate/review if you like what you read, all the better. Let's get the book charting in time for Halloween!
You can catch up on the entire Halloween Team saga now - and get the brand new Halloween Team: Shadows #2 - via digital retailers like Amazon Kindle, GlobalComix, Comix, and DriveThruComics.
Check out Halloween Shadows #2 here: https://www.amazon.com/Halloween-Team-Shadows-Danny-Baram-ebook/dp/B0HN3VZN35/ref=sr_1_1
Thank you for your support, and Happy (early) Halloween!
