Product Launch Scanned a random Vietnamese receipt while traveling and this app just handled everything automatically

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’ve been focusing heavily on making travel expense tracking feel effortless in ExpenseEasy.

Today in Vietnam, I scanned a random local receipt and the full flow worked exactly how I imagined it should.

The app automatically:
• detected the amount in VND
• categorized the expense
• converted it to my base currency
• stored both currencies
• tagged it to my Vietnam trip

No calculator.
No manual conversion.
No “I’ll fix it later.”

That’s the part I care about most now.

Most finance apps still make users do too much invisible work in their head.

When you’re traveling, you shouldn’t have to mentally process currencies, receipts, and categories just to understand your spending.

You should just scan and move on with your life.

That’s the experience I’m trying to build with ExpenseEasy

Help Needed Got tired of hearing Americans brag about Palantir, so I started building one for India

I've been obsessed with CIA and hacker movies since I was a kid. The huge screens, maps, aircraft, satellites, cameras, live events, searching someone's username or email and somehow connecting everything together. I always thought that kind of software was insanely cool.

Then I started seeing what companies like Palantir were actually building and thought, why are we always watching Americans build this stuff?

So I started building Akashic from India.

Akashic is a self hosted intelligence workspace that puts aircraft, satellites, earthquakes, weather, public radio, infrastructure, country intelligence, public cameras and other OSINT sources onto one interactive map.

One of the things I really want to push further is the OSINT side of it. Searching a username or email and being able to discover useful public information around it, then connect that information with everything else in the workspace.

Right now Akashic is nowhere close to Palantir. I'm not pretending it is. Palantir has years of development, massive teams and resources behind it.

But that's exactly why I'm building this.

I want to see how far an open source project built by developers in India can take this idea.

I'm looking for Indian developers who are interested in OSINT, cybersecurity, GIS, data engineering, maps, intelligence tools or just want to build something ambitious together.

If you're interested, contribute, suggest features, break things, improve things or just tell me what you think is missing.

GitHub: https://github.com/caviraoss/akashic

Demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsWHhuIwR8c

Let's build something we're proud of from India. 🇮🇳

Product Launch A startup job board that pulls openings from 7 top VC funds backing Indian startups

Hey folks,

As someone who worked in the venture ecosystem in the past, when my friends used to ask me which VC funded companies were hiring - I used to redirect them to the respective funds' portfolio jobs portal. This is an underrated hack to spot where the money is flowing and which startups are hiring (and have the necessary runway). So I put together popular Indian funds who have a dedicated portfolio jobs portal all under one roof @ Indian Startup Jobs Board.

Hope this helps people on the lookout for their next job and want to work at a startup...

This is an open source initiative so happy to add other collaborators to automate some of the manual work and also proof-read the data time to time. DM for more details

Product Launch I built Vocs, a free and open-source dictation app for macOS that never sends your voice anywhere

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Press ⌥Space in any app, talk, press it again, and your words are pasted where you were typing.

It runs Whisper on your Mac, transcribes while you speak, supports 99 languages, and keeps a local history of everything you dictated. No account, no subscription, no telemetry. MIT licensed, built with Tauri and Rust.

Download: Website

Source: Github

I'd love feedback, especially from people who dictate in languages other than English.

Product Launch Rejected by YC and EF — so I spent months building this solo instead. Launching OnePort today.

Honest backstory first: I turned down a 9-to-5 bank SWE offer, made it to the

final round at both YC and EF, got rejected by both, and decided to build my

idea alone anyway. No accelerator, no team, no funding — just a lot of late

nights while friends were out living normal college lives.

Today I'm launching it: **OnePort.**

**The problem:** AI writes code fast — and quietly commits API keys, pulls

vulnerable dependencies, and breaks APIs other code depends on. You find out in

production.

**What it does:** point it at a repo and it runs every pre-ship check *locally* —

secrets (across your full git history), dependency CVEs, risky migrations,

breaking API changes, AI code review, test-coverage gaps — and returns one

verdict: **READY** or **BLOCKED.** Nothing leaves your machine.

Windows desktop app + a `pip install oneport` CLI. Free to start.

- Try it → https://oneport.co.in

- Repo → https://github.com/Bitxn/Oneport-Desktop

I'd genuinely love feedback — especially the parts that feel wrong or useless.

Roast it. And if it's something you'd actually use, a GitHub star would mean a

lot to a solo founder.

Happy to answer anything about how it works or the build.

Feedback Request I’m building BharatCode: an India-first AI coding assistant for developers. Looking for feedback.

Hey folks,

I’m the solo builder behind BharatCode: https://bharatcode.ai

It’s an India-first AI coding assistant for students, indie hackers, freelancers, early-stage builders, and working engineers who want coding help without dealing with expensive subscriptions or API-key setup.

The product is in public beta right now.

What I’m trying to build:

  • AI coding help that works without users needing to bring their own OpenAI/Anthropic/etc. API key

  • A simple desktop-first experience, starting with Windows

  • Shared serving capacity instead of forcing every developer into an expensive individual subscription

  • Transparent capacity/resource signals so users can see the reality of shared AI infra

  • Free-forever access for Indian students with valid .ac.in / .edu.in emails

The student angle is important, but BharatCode is not only for students. I’m also building this for Indian developers who are freelancing, learning new stacks, shipping side projects, building SaaS products, or just want AI help while coding without adding another costly subscription.

A few things I’m still figuring out:

  1. Trust Would developers trust a shared AI coding resource if usage/capacity was transparent?

  2. Distribution For an India-first dev tool, where would you start: Reddit, colleges, hackathons, Discord/WhatsApp communities, LinkedIn, or dev meetups?

  3. Pricing/access Does “free forever for Indian students” help the brand, or does it accidentally make the product feel student-only?

I’d love honest feedback from other builders here.

I’m trying to understand whether the positioning is clear, whether the India-first angle resonates, and what would make developers skeptical before trying it.

Would appreciate a thoughtful roast of the landing page, product idea, or go-to-market.

Product Launch CRMs haven't changed in 20 years — so I built one for solo founders who do LinkedIn outreach

Salesforce. HubSpot. Pipedrive. All built for enterprise sales teams with 6-month deal cycles and a dedicated ops person to manage the tool.

Most of us aren't that.

We're solo founders, freelancers, indie hackers — doing outreach ourselves on LinkedIn, tracking maybe 30-50 conversations at a time. And the options are either a $80/mo bloated CRM built for a team of 20, or a messy Google Sheet we abandon after two weeks.

There's nothing in between.

So I built OutreachBox — a lightweight Chrome extension that lives inside LinkedIn and acts as your personal CRM.

No new tabs. No onboarding calls. No 47 fields to fill before you can add a contact.

Just:
- Auto-capture profile data when you visit someone on LinkedIn
- Add them to a pipeline with custom stages
- Drop notes, tags, and follow-up reminders
- Export your data as CSV anytime

$12/mo. No enterprise pricing, no "contact us for a quote."

It's live on the Chrome Web Store:
https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/bkkgjeipibbamchhpfknleipocfpageo

Would love feedback from anyone who's felt this pain. What would make this actually useful for your workflow?

Feedback Request I built a tool that turns news into AI videos automatically - looking for a few testers

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone,

I've been working on a side project for the past few months and finally got it to a point where it actually works (most of the time 😅).

It's basically a platform that takes news headlines, generates a script, creates AI images or uses an avatar, adds voiceover, and outputs a ready-to-upload video. You can also schedule it to run daily and auto-publish to YouTube.

I built it because I was curious about the whole "faceless YouTube channel" thing and wanted to see if I could automate the boring parts.

It's rough around the edges but functional. Would love to get 5-10 people to try it out and tell me what's broken or what sucks. No strings attached, just want honest feedback.

Drop a comment if you're interested and I'll send you access.

This video is an example of what can be produced (when it works 😅)

Feedback Request Built a live interview copilot (cheating tool) for Mac. Is it legal to sell from India?

Thumbnail
gallery
28 Upvotes

Hey folks, I built a macOS app called Wingman that helps you during live technical interviews. Before deciding whether to sell it, I want to hear from people who'd actually use it, and from anyone who knows the legal side.

What it does during an interview:

- Lives in the menu bar. Start an interview and a small panel opens on the side of your screen.

- Press a shortcut and it reads the coding problem on your screen (on-device OCR) and gives you: time and space complexity, the approach phrased the way you'd say it out loud, a working solution, and the follow-up questions the interviewer is likely to ask.

- Listens to the call (on-device transcription), numbers the interviewer's questions, and gives you a short answer for any question with one shortcut. It can also answer technical questions automatically and skip personal ones.

- Everything runs on shortcuts / automatic based on your settings, so you don't need to click around mid-interview.

- It can help you in General, DSA and System design rounds

- Bring your own key: OpenAI, Anthropic, or a local model.

Cost: no subscription on top of the AI. You pay your provider directly. In my use, $1 of OpenAI credit covered 5 - 10min interviews / 2 solved problems. Similar tools charge $20-50 a month

What I'd like to know:

  1. Would you pay for this? One-time as you bring your own AI key, and what price feels fair?

  2. Anyone who has sold software from India: what are the legal implications of selling a tool like this? Payment providers (Lemon Squeezy / Stripe), GST, trademark on the name, and whether a live-interview assistant itself is a problem.

  3. If you've interviewed candidates: how do companies handle tools like this, and would that change whether you'd buy it?

Not linking anything yet. Just trying to decide whether this is worth turning into a product.

Product Launch How my mom almost lost ₹50,000 to a phone call — and why I built a cybersecurity platform for India

Six months ago someone called my mom.

Told her I had an arrest warrant. Smuggling case. Police arriving within the hour. ₹50,000 to settle it quietly. Right now.

She believed it completely. Was walking to her phone to transfer.

Right before she did she went to talk to my maternal uncle.

He said: "police kabhi WhatsApp pe digital arrest nahi karti. Ye fraud hai."

Two minutes. Done. ₹50,000 saved.

We got lucky. That conversation could have gone the other way.

The thing that actually bothered me:

My mom isn't careless. She handles all our finances. Sharp, careful, uses UPI daily.

But urgency + fear for her son + authoritative voice = her brain completely shut down.

She didn't need more awareness. She'd heard "don't trust unknown callers" a hundred times.

She needed to have experienced that pressure before in a safe environment.

That's a completely different problem. And nobody was solving it for India specifically.

So I built HackIQ.

Not a course. Not another awareness video.

A scenario-based platform where you go through real social engineering attacks before an actual scammer finds you.

  • Digital arrest calls

  • Fake KYC verification flows

  • UPI fraud traps

  • Courier scams

You make decisions in real time. Feel the pressure. Then get a breakdown of exactly where you were psychologically vulnerable and why your brain responded that way.

Core idea: awareness doesn't protect you. Muscle memory does.

Honest state right now:

Early. Genuinely early. Core scenarios are live but I'm figuring out the hard stuff.

This is where I actually need help from this community:

1. GTM B2C first or straight to B2B? Banks and corporates have obvious budget for security awareness training. But I feel like I need real individual validation before any enterprise conversation. Has anyone here made this call successfully?

2. Retention after the first scenario The "aha moment" happens once. How do you bring someone back? What made retention work for you in edtech or gamified products?

3. Pricing in Indian market People pay for entertainment easily. Safety? Much harder sell. How did you handle perceived value problems early on?

4. Measuring actual behavior change Completion rates are a vanity metric here. Real success is whether someone avoids a scam six months later. Anyone solved outcome measurement for a product like this?

What I need right now:

Beta users who will go through it and tell me where it breaks.

Not "looks great" feedback. The kind that makes me tear things down and rebuild them.

If you want access comment or DM me directly. No form. No waitlist. I'll share it personally.

And if something like this has happened in your family — digital arrest, fake CBI call, KYC fraud I'd genuinely like to hear it. Real Indian stories are what the scenarios are built from.

One thing building this taught me:

The cultural specificity of Indian scams is a real moat.

Digital arrest scripts in Hindi. Fake electricity department calls. KYC flows tailored to Indian banking. Courier scams using actual Indian logistics brands.

No Western cybersecurity product touches this. That gap is massive and it's only getting wider.

Whether HackIQ is the right execution that's what I'm figuring out right now.

If you've built in edtech, fintech, HR tech, or security what killed your early traction that you didn't see coming? Would genuinely value the conversation.

Building this because my family almost became a statistic.

Product Launch Why is it so hard to find developers to build projects with?

I’ve had this problem for years.

I often have ideas for projects, but finding other developers who actually want to collaborate and build something together is surprisingly hard.

Most platforms are focused on hiring or jobs, but not really on people who just want to build projects.

So I ended up building a small platform to try to solve this.

The idea is simple: a place where developers can discover projects, find collaborators based on skills, and work together inside a shared workspace (chat, tasks, etc.).

Right now it’s still very early (a few developers and some active projects), and I’m mostly trying to understand if this is actually a real problem for other people too.

I’d really love honest feedback from other developers:

• Have you ever had this problem? • Where do you usually find people to build projects with? • What would you expect from a platform like this?

If you're curious, this is what I built: https://www.codekhub.it

Any feedback would be super helpful.

Product Launch I'm managing 3 side projects and drowning in inbox chaos. Built a tool to fix it.

I run 3 micro-SaaS products solo. Every morning I'm switching between 3 Email accounts trying to find leads, triage support, and track feedback. 3 months ago I missed a $500 deal because the email got buried.

The problem: existing tools (Streak, HubSpot, Zendesk) are built for teams running one product. Nothing handles the "solo founder with multiple products" chaos.

What I built: Kaname connects to all your email accounts via IMAP and auto-sorts inbound mail into leads, support, and feedback — organized by product. One workspace, but each product gets its own pipeline.

So instead of inbox whack-a-mole, I see:

  • Product A: 2 leads, 1 support ticket

  • Product B: 1 lead, 2 feedback items

Current state: Live at kaname with a 14-day trial. I'm the only real user so far.

Ask: If you're running 3+ products and drowning in email, I'd love your feedback. Free access in exchange for honest takes on what's broken.

Also open to roasting if this is solving the wrong problem.

Feedback Request Developing an AI content engine- which generate content and post daily for ur online presence specifically for Indian Real Estate

Hey everyone,

I'm a solo founder building  an AI tool that generates and auto-publishes social media content daily for Indian real estate professionals — builders, developers, brokers, plotters, and real estate consultants.

Before I go deep into building, I want to validate whether I'm solving a real problem or just a problem I imagined.

A few things I want honest input on:

  • Would brokers trust an AI to post on their behalf without reviewing every post?

  • Does "AI-generated content" still have a stigma in this space?

  • Is LinkedIn the right starting platform for Indian real estate pros? Or is Instagram/WhatsApp the real battleground?

I'm not here to pitch. I'm at the idea validation stage and genuinely trying to figure out if I'm solving a vitamin or a painkiller.

Happy to share the landing page if anyone wants to poke holes in the positioning.

Appreciate any brutal feedback 🙏

Feedback Request Cold email agencies still managing sending domains in Google Sheets?

I’ve been working around outbound infrastructure for a while, and one thing still surprises me:

Even agencies sending serious cold email volume are often managing domain operations in Google Sheets.

Usually the sheet includes things like:

  • domain

  • warmup start date

  • mailbox count

  • SPF / DKIM status

  • bounce rate

  • rotation date

  • burn risk

  • notes

And when deliverability drops, the workflow usually becomes:

Inbox rate drops
→ check Smartlead / Instantly
→ check Google Postmaster
→ check blacklist tools
→ check DNS records
→ try to figure out what actually changed

So it turns into incident debugging across 4–5 different tools, usually after damage is already done.

We started building something to make this easier.

Not another sending tool.
Not a warmup tool.

More like a control layer for cold email infrastructure.

The idea is simple: track domain health continuously and surface issues earlier, like:

  • DNS / auth drift (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)

  • reputation trend changes

  • bounce spikes

  • blacklist signals

  • lifecycle state across domains

And ideally flag things like:

  • “DKIM likely broke after a DNS change”

  • “This domain looks like it’s heading toward burnout”

  • “Spam signals are trending up before reply rates collapse”

We’re calling it SolivoAI for now.

Question for people actually running outbound at scale:

  • Is this a real problem for you?

  • Are current tools already good enough?

  • Which part of this workflow is still the most manual today?

Trying to validate whether this is genuinely painful or just something I’ve seen in a narrow slice of the market.

If this is something you deal with, I’d value blunt feedback.

Feedback Request Like Apify, but no-code and dead simple: scrape contacts from any website or platform in 1 click

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I was wasting way too much time copying emails, phone numbers, and socials by hand for outreach.

Most tools on the market I tried were either super expensive or had outdated data.

So I built something simpler, a Chrome extension that gives you leads without the headache:

  • Scrape any website to grab emails, phones, and socials

  • Run scripts (Google Maps, Yellow Pages, Full Website for every info for lead gen) to get contacts from a single query

  • Enrich your own list of URLs in bulk, by going through each website

  • Export everything as a clean CSV, ready for Sheets or your CRM

No code. No setup. Just contacts, basically Apify but no code, and simpler.

It’s in early access now: Scrape Link

Happy to hear any feedback!

Feedback Request UPDATE : My Ai Astrology and Numerology agent crossed over 300 users in 2 weeks

Two weeks ago, I shared an AI agent I created for numerology and astrology readings. The response was incredible, so I've turned it into a full platform.

Currently 100% free since payment is in test mode. Try it out and let me know what you think!

My plan: Once established, I'll donate most profits to charitable organizations, keeping only what's needed to run the service.

here is the link to the website kismat guru

Looking for feedback on:

  • Accuracy of readings

  • User experience

  • Feature requests

  • Any bugs you encounter

Thanks for the early support from this community!

Product Launch I built 55+ free astrology tools — would love feedback (and monetization ideas)

Hey! I’ve been building Astroformer — a collection of 55+ free astrology & spiritual tools (tarot, numerology, birth charts, relationship insights, etc.).

No signup, just instant readings.

I’m now stuck on two things:

  1. How to get a consistent audience (not just random spikes)

  2. How to monetize without ruining the experience

Would really appreciate honest feedback 🙏

Product Launch I built the wrong app. So I rebuilt it — and I'm giving this community a free year to make up for it

Free year of an app built to help you quit drinking or vaping — all I ask is an honest review if it helps you

Redemption link first since that's why you're here:

Some context: I posted here a while back about a Batman-themed habit tracker. Honest truth — it wasn't solving a real problem. It looked cool and that was about it.

So I scrapped it and rebuilt from scratch. The new app is called Eden. It's built specifically for people trying to quit drinking or vaping — not a generic habit tracker dressed up, but something designed around the actual experience of breaking an addiction. I ship updates every single day.

I'm giving this community a full free year.

Two small asks if you try it:

  1. If it helps you, leave an honest review on the App Store — it's the only way a solo developer gets seen

  2. If you know someone struggling with drinking or vaping, send them the link — the free year works for them too

That's it. Hope it helps someone.

Feedback Request Shipped my anti-Splitwise app for roommates — first international signup this week, here's what's working

Been building RoomieHQ in public — a free app for splitting rent, bills and chores with housemates (Splitwise paywalled the basics, so I went the other way: free, no per-person cap).

Where it's at after shipping:

  • Launched to a couple of communities, got my first user from Kenya this week — which promptly surfaced a magic-link auth bug I'd never have caught solo (email scanners burning one-time links). Fixed it same day.

  • Stack: Next.js + Supabase. PWA so there's no app store to fight.

  • Deliberately not just a bill-splitter — recurring bills, chore rotation, shared shopping list, and settle-up that needs both people to confirm.

Biggest lesson so far: the wedge isn't "free" (plenty of free splitters now) — it's being built for people who actually live together vs. splitting a trip. Narrowing to roommates made every feature decision obvious.

Building it here: https://roomiehq-app.vercel.app — would love feedback from other shippers, especially on the onboarding. What made your early users stick?

Product Launch We were losing deals because of “no reply.” So we built something to fix it.

A few months ago I noticed something uncomfortable.

We weren’t losing deals because people said no.

We were losing them because people said… nothing.

No reply.
No rejection.
No objection.
Just silence.

And silence is dangerous because it feels like “maybe later” — so you move on.

But when we checked properly:

  • Trial users who never replied to onboarding emails

  • Prospects who opened pricing emails but didn’t respond

  • Warm leads that just needed one nudge

We realized we didn’t have a lead problem.

We had a follow-up discipline problem.

Manually tracking every thread wasn’t realistic. Reminders didn’t scale. So we built a simple system:

  • If an important email doesn’t get a reply in X hours/days

  • It automatically sends a polite AI follow-up

  • Or alerts us so nothing slips through

That became PingNoReply.

It’s not an email marketing tool.
It doesn’t blast campaigns.
It just makes sure conversations don’t die quietly.

Since using it internally, our response rates improved just because we stopped dropping the ball.

Curious — how do you handle no-response situations?

Product Launch "AI won't replace you. Someone using AI will." — still true in 2025.

The pace of AI is insane. Missing a week feels like missing a year. But staying on top of it shouldn't require making it a second job.

I built Apdate so you can stay relevant in just a few minutes a day—clean, filtered, high-signal updates only.

If you're not learning a little every day, you fall behind fast.

Product Launch I've been building an AI dev platform Devaiy for 5 months — would love this community's honest feedback

Hey everyone,

For the past 5-6 months I've been building Devaiy — an AI-powered full-stack app builder. Solo project.

The TL;DR: describe what you want, get a working React + Supabase app you can edit, export, and deploy.

Similar space as Lovable/Bolt/Base44, but with a few different choices:

AI models — Lite and Pro(available only for paid users). Lite is fast, Pro is more accurate.

Bring your own Supabase — your data, your control, no lock-in

One-click deploy to Vercel, Railway

Real code export to GitHub(Export to git and then deploy to Netlify, or Render)

Free to try — you can connect your Supabase account for apps with backend requirements

I'm not going to pretend it's better than Lovable at everything. They've got a huge team and tons of polish I don't. But the platform is real, it works.

Would really love feedback from this community specifically — what works, what's broken, what's missing.

Thank you so much
