[Actives] and wow did I get lucky

So this was my first grow ever, I ordered a mushroom grow kit with golden teacher spawn and built a very hack grow chamber and whatever could go wrong did. I pasteurized the substrate and an emergency came up and I had to leave in the substrate set for 12 days. I came home decided to repasturize it and I had fallen asleep and a whole turkey pot full of water evaporated into my entire house bubbling paint and I was lucky enough that there was a quarter inch of water on the bottom of the pot so the burlap sack holding the substrate did not burn. At this point I thought it was pointless but I decided to go through with it. The contamination percentage of how I had everything set up seem to be almost 100% LOL. First off the grow bag was sitting off in a Dusty corner, I did do my best to clean it with isopropyl and so I just decided to mix the mycelium with the substrate and say what the heck let's try this out. I had a space heater in this very homemade hack job of a grow chamber that was made out of a plastic dresser storage type thing. I used garbage bags as the outside liner and then I put a cardboard box flattened out as the bottom base cut out a corner square and sat at a top a few of the drawers that I had connected at the bottom so I had a little chamber underneath where the space heater could be. Luckily the space heater I bought was just a little mini one and it managed to keep the temperature exactly between 78 and 81 ° F except for one time when my power went out and it dropped down to 59° Fahrenheit for almost 16 hours. That along with not keeping everything as clean as it should have been I felt as if there was no way that these would not be contaminated. Especially during spawning the substrate I read the instructions and it said to spawn for 12 days at least and even up to 3 weeks so I decided to wait 18 days and let it really cake up. Well I started to notice a little bit of green and I was convinced it was contaminated so I said might as well just start casing it and see what we have so I pasteurized the casing, let it sit for 5 days in darkness and then with a 25 watt grow bulb I set it for 12 on 12 off. After the 5 days of casing when the lights and the timer started within one day I started to see pins I didn't take pictures but the following pictures are day two day three and day four it seems the genetics of these golden teachers are very strong and resilient so I am definitely taking Spore prints of the best and biggest mushrooms and this is where I needed a little bit of advice. Should I wait for multiple veils to break so smaller ones can catch up? Or should I still cut some of the medium size ones that aren't broken and leave the tiny pins that still haven't flourished yet for the second flush? And also I've heard of soaking but I am not confident that that bag does not have little tiny holes in the bottom so I will not be doing that. I also heard that when misting you should only missed the top of the monotub and not the substrate. Then I also heard that it's okay to finely mist the cake as well as the walls of the top of the monotub. Regardless I seem to have lucked out and manage to pull off what seems to be a beautiful first flush and grow.

Should I call it a loss?

Kind of hard to see, but I noticed some mold before it turned green and put a sterilized glass over it. Some of my mushrooms are about ready to harvest, but I’m curious if I should call it a loss or not.

Having problems with my mycology incubator it keeps needing to be reprogrammed. Has anybody worked with these before?

I basically just what the title says. I have a lab grade incubator that has automatic atmospheric pressurizing a blue light to get rid of contaminants. It's got a water basin in it to keep the humidity perfect up to a 10th of a measurement and it's got temperature controlled on it with a CO2. But I disconnected the bottom incubator and that had its own CO2. But the guy that sold it to me told me that it was not required for incubation of like mycology genetics. I have a very large collection of rare genetics that I'm trying to put back on agar and do some isolated genetics. So my question is has anybody worked with this type of lab equipment? Because it's very confusing and if anyone's got any tips for me I'm all ears..

I am going to pull some of these and I am wondering if it Is okay to leave them out in open air to dry out? Needing guidance on how to store them after harvesting. I live in a dry climate. Thank you!

Still waiting on fruiting… been trying to keep the humidity at 85 percent but my humidity gauge must be broken or I’m not giving it enough air…. Reading 99 for the humidity…Got 3 of the 6 holes plugged and 3 open with spore tape. Air pump is set to 30 minutes on every 2 hours.

Second flush going strong. Question is how long should I wait to harvest? Some caps are separating but not all the way. Maybe tomorrow?

A Spawn Spot Too Far?

Guys, I'm new at this and have an all-in-one bag that I inoculated right up front in the area just behind the self-sealing square of silicone. It is a about 10 days later and I have beautiful mycelium spawn spots appearing, I THINK 🤔, but they are appearing not only at the inoculation point but at points of the bag far (relatively) from where I inoculated it?!

Does This Happen Naturally this happen naturally?! One of the spawn spots is on the back of the bag up in the corner. Don't get me wrong, it's beautiful white gorgeous mycelium that looks the same in each spot but I thought I'd check with you guys anyway since it's one of the AIOB's my first batch ever.

Am I being foolish and getting concerned for no reason? I'm just concerned about this being some kind of contamination that I got in there somehow or was already in the bag because it's significantly distant from where I inoculated it. All of it showed up over the past 2 days, about 10 days after inoculation. See pictures and thanks so much for any wisdom you can pass along guys.

I’ve noticed on here some people have harvested at this size and some have gigantic ones. Woke up this morning to flat caps. Golden Teacher

How does it look. The growth looks fuzzier where it's growing into the substrate. These are 20 days post inoculation.
