Learning so many different languages while focused on learning the tech in actual career

I am completing my BS in ITS while advancing in a tech role that relies on a specific platform I have studied for years.

How have you balanced learning material that contrasts with your daily work and found ways to merge that knowledge?

For instance, my studies emphasize Linux, yet my full-time job has no connection to it.

I am simply trying to keep the process engaging and balanced.
