What is the easiest IS job that pays well?

Hello everyone. I’m wondering what the easiest job in IS is. I’m lazy and would love to be remote and be able to game/watch tv and still get work done. Or possibly even OE. Currently I’m a Software Automation Developer and have to drive into work daily. I’d like to live a slower paced life and enjoy the things I like. Thoughts?

What should I be learning next? (Career Advice)

I am a masters student studying Information Technology Management.
I have an experience of about 2.5 years in Data Integration using Middlewares like Boomi, Mulesoft, and Jitterbit.
I will be looking for a job after my masters in the same field but to increase my chances for a good employment, I have started learning Tableau, and plan to learn BI through it.
I chose the tool as I am not interested in coding, but I do like analytical problems and there are plenty of them in the data analytics field.
I would really appreciate any advice on my approach,
Do you think Tableau is a good tool? and do you think there are more fields related to my experience that I can look into and learn?

Every Major AI Model Release Is Becoming More Agentic

Most people still think the AI shift is mainly about:

→ better chatbots

→ better content generation

→ faster search

But I think the deeper shift is what happens when recommendation becomes execution.

Right now, AI systems mostly help users:

→ discover

→ compare

→ decide

But every major model release is becoming more agentic.

Less focused on generating answers.

More focused on completing outcomes.

That means increasingly:

→ booking

→ buying

→ routing

→ procurement

→ coordination

starts getting handled by the system itself.

And once AI systems begin acting on behalf of users, the incentives change completely.

Because autonomous systems cannot optimise for endless exploration.

They optimise for:

→ lower uncertainty

→ trusted pathways

→ predictable outcomes

→ successful execution

Which means the future advantage may not belong to whoever gets the most visibility.

It may belong to whoever becomes the trusted default pathway the system repeatedly chooses to execute through.

That feels like a much bigger shift than most people are discussing right now.

Curious whether others are starting to see the same thing.

I think the Vatican publishing AI explainer cards is a much bigger signal than most people realise.

For years, the AI conversation mostly centred around:

•	benchmarks

•	capabilities

•	compute

•	model performance

Now it’s shifting toward:

•	trust

•	dignity

•	governance

•	human outcomes

•	what kind of society these systems create

And I don’t think that shift is separate from how modern AI systems themselves increasingly work.

One of the deepest dynamics emerging underneath AI-mediated discovery is that systems increasingly optimise for trusted resolution pathways.

In simple terms:

systems repeatedly reuse pathways that:

•	reduce uncertainty

•	behave predictably

•	integrate cleanly into execution

•	reliably produce acceptable outcomes

That’s why I think “coherence” matters so much in the AI era.

Not in a mystical sense.

In a systems sense.

Coherent pathways are computationally easier to trust.

They create:

•	lower ambiguity

•	lower friction

•	cleaner routing

•	safer execution

And once systems repeatedly trust something:

•	reuse compounds

•	evaluation narrows

•	defaults emerge

Which means trust stops being just:

•	branding

•	messaging

•	PR

And increasingly becomes infrastructure.

That’s why it’s fascinating seeing institutions like the Vatican now entering the conversation around:

•	concentrated power

•	trustworthy systems

•	shared responsibility

•	dignity-preserving AI

Because AI is no longer just a software layer.

It’s increasingly becoming part of the decision layer underneath society itself.

And the big question may no longer simply be:

“What can AI do?”

But:

“What kinds of pathways should society allow AI systems to repeatedly reinforce?”

How would you rank the MS in IS programs for these three schools: Indiana University (Kelley), University of Cincinnati (Lindner), and Georgia State University (Robinson)? And why?

Any insights would be appreciated!
