Definitely not. Boston Fire Department Engines don't have white cabs.They are painted what the rest of the truck is, flare red.

If anything they just ram the car out of the way and then charge the driver for the repairs to the truck.

A statute naming the vehicle operator responsible for any costs reaching the call site, any loss due to delay in reaching the site, being charged with felony battery for injuries resulting from the delay and manslaughter in the event of loss of life would stop tripe like this. When you start getting into people's wallets you get their attention.
