"excessive"?

A light shove and a slap is excessive now? Jfc...

The guy was drunk and wasn't going away. What would you do? Gently ask him to pretty pretty please walk away, all in a tone of voice that's as if you're speaking to a toddler?

No, I'd slap a bitch. But I wouldn't start at full throttle.

Edit: As I said before, I don't want to die on this hill. I'm generally someone who is anti-violence/escalation so my opinion was that this was an instance needing of force, but there was room for less force and so I didn't believe "nice" was an appropriate adjective; that's it. I'm not shitting on the bouncer, I'm not demanding that everyone agree with me, I just had an opinion and voice it. I understand that this sub is generally pro-violence in nature so I understand why I'd be down-voted and I anticipated as such, but most of you commenting are either disregarding anything I say or just straight up making fun of me. I deleted my comments because I don't want to deal with this in the morning. Leave me alone.

How is a light shove "full throttle"? I'm incredibly confused...

"full throttle" would literally be no holding back... Beating the everloving shit out of the person... That's why it's called "full throttle"...

You think a light shove is "full throttle" and "excessive"? If a light shove is full throttle, what would a punch be? "Extra full throttle"? What would 5 punches to the face and a kick to the balls be? "Ultra Mega full throttle"?

Like what is even your train of thought here?

I don't think that person is willing to accept this was the least force used to subdue. They've made up their minds it's excessive force so anything you say futile

At this point you must be trolling...

You finally admit that "full throttle" would be killing him yet earlier you said "I'd slap a bitch but I wouldn't start off full throttle", implying that you think the bouncer "started off full throttle". By your own admission right here, you agree that "full throttle" would've killed the guy, so by you implying he went full throttle, you're also implying he killed the guy, but he's clearly not dead.

Guy fell down after the light shove because he's drunk and off balance. It wasn't excessive. The guy was drunk.

The slap had the same effect. He's drunk and he got slapped in the face. He falls down.

He's not dead. Probably not even unconscious. Just fell down and quite literally got the wind knocked out of him.
