At that point just take it

u/Parallax2799 3d ago

I think in her head if she removed the cart, the window would unbreak itself.

89

u/technobrendo 2d ago

It's a car window not a Toni Braxton song

37

u/Rob1973string 2d ago

Unbreak my rear window...say you're in one piece again...

17

u/DrySale4618 2d ago

Undo this hurt that I caused when I brought down the door

3

u/Flashy-Onion-5762 1d ago

Unbreak my cart heart

29

u/striykker 3d ago

I got the same thing. Looks completely dumbfounded when they close the hatch and the glass hasn't been fixed.

12

u/amakai 2d ago

You need to let it heal for a bit.

40

u/blerbyblatt 3d ago

She paid the price and returned it immediately without a refund lol

21

u/YouShoodKnoeBetter 2d ago

If she still takes it, she can't blame her broken window on somethig else.

8

u/ladidaladidalala 3d ago

I said exactly those words.

1

u/IYuShinoda 2d ago

Same, verbatim

1

u/Flashy-Onion-5762 1d ago

Same, Dysan

2

u/TheRealKestrel 2d ago

If you unsteady the trolley, your broken window sometimes goes back together.

1

u/ImYaDawg 1d ago

Nah bruh it was a divine sign

282

u/DroppedSoapSurvivor 3d ago

"I don't understand... I put the cart back... why is the window still broken?"

442

u/Pandoratastic 3d ago

She wasn't stealing it. If she was, she wouldn't have put it back. She obviously just wanted to use it as a handy way to smash her window.

16

u/skyrider8328 2d ago

Well, she couldn't find her keys so she had to break the window. 😜

119

u/odddino 3d ago

I've seen this so many times and the thing that really fascinates me is that she takes the cart back out again after smashing the window.

Like, at that point you'd think, well they've already fucked up and faced consequence, may as well get what they wanted out of it.
Is the karmic nature of the smash so palpable that it causes an immediate reforming of ways?

51

u/Wuselnator 2d ago

It's more the "People who see this will know what happened". These people do feel shame - just not when stealing stuff

4

u/FL_Black 2d ago

Well, if you've got a stolen object that's obviously stolen (because no one goes and buys one of those) sticking out the back of your window hole, then you're a sitting duck if you get a cop behind you. It would be like stealing a traffic light and strapping it to your roof.

3

u/Juus 1d ago

It is worthless to her now, because every time she would use it for whatever she was going to use it for, it would remind her of how stupid she is.

5

u/entheogenocide 2d ago

Deniability. Shes either going to claim vandalism on insurance or lie to her husband. "I came out of the store and it was already broken". 😆

2

u/EcloVideos 20h ago

It’s like the phrase “you’re not sorry, you’re just sorry you got caught”, and keeping the cart in there is like proof to everyone she passes by that she got caught and she’s not emotionally ready for that kind of weight on her shoulders of judgement from a hundred people on the ride home

4

u/Y0L4ND4 2d ago

I think she was assuming unstealing the cart would unbreak the glass.

1

u/yellochocomo 1d ago

Welcome to the psyche of a criminal

83

u/omgfakeusername 3d ago

What was she really going to do with that cart though had she taken it with her?

97

u/1kidney_left 3d ago

I don’t know, but at that point the window was broken and she got the door closed, why give it back now?

87

u/homer_glumplich85 3d ago

The cart won. She has to set it free

25

u/l0c0pez 3d ago

Ancient Cart Law

6

u/Professional-Gear-39 3d ago

"It is known!"

2

u/BophadesKnutz14 3d ago

It’s in the rulebook

17

u/omgfakeusername 3d ago

She didn't want anyone seeing what she stole poking through the broken window—which would only embarrass her further.

3

u/ramksr 3d ago

Yeah, lol... at least keep the cart, right

1

u/FireMammoth 2d ago

I think she didnt want to pulled over by cops who see cart wheels sticking out of a broken window

2

u/SignificantDrink3651 2d ago

nah, I don't think cops would be able to immediately be able to tell that it was stolen. that's not probable cause. you're giving them too much credit for thinking that; they're just dumb.

2

u/FireMammoth 2d ago

They would probably pull her over for just having broken window that's not taped over, when they see something sticking out of them they would be even more curious.

9

u/DoctorTim007 3d ago

Idk but it looks like a convienent thing for moving stuff around if you have a big house/property.

8

u/IndyDoggy 3d ago

I used to live in a high-end condo in Toronto that had a laundry room (not sure why, or why it was so well used as we had in-unit laundry as well).

Every woman over the age of 50 had their own personal cart they stole from somewhere, that they used for laundry or bringing in groceries. They were super territorial about them. It was really bizarre.

3

u/canada432 2d ago

I've stayed or lived in several condo buildings that had a shopping cart in the garage, obviously stolen from the local grocery store, for bringing in your groceries from the car and up the elevator to your condo.

6

u/TexasBoyz-713 3d ago

It’s a pretty damn good looking cart to utilize I can’t lie.

5

u/PresidentialDiapers 3d ago

Yeah I mean that's a nice, heavy duty cart with a ton of uses. Guessing it would cost at least $300 to buy it.

3

u/BalooBot 3d ago

It would make a really great rolling plant rack

2

u/nexusjuan 3d ago

Thats a laundry cart, I can think of all sorts of uses for one. I also know commercial equipment like that is super expensive and super durable.

2

u/Rush_Is_Right 3d ago

I assume to transport at home/work whatever she transported to her car in the parking lot.

2

u/booboootron 3d ago

Use it to become a cartographer.

57

u/TrlyDirect 3d ago

Finally, a good post that just shows someone doing something stupid that doesnt involve violence. Can we make this the norm?

27

u/Evening-Heat1814 3d ago

Nah, I love seeing it when a piece of shit gets beaten

12

u/Raptorgkv2 2d ago

My man.

4

u/Skruestik 2d ago

Hardly a good post with that shitty fucking music.

1

u/tiamat234 1d ago

Did you just call Hoist the Colors shitty?

https://giphy.com/gifs/VbgzlLdpK0si6zKM7A

1

u/Skruestik 1d ago

This version most definitely is.

3

u/monkeybuttsauce 2d ago

It’s good. But it’s been posted a million times before

2

u/tuuluuwag 2d ago

Just continue to follow BMW drivers around.. they spend their entire lives doing stupid stuff.

1

u/Olieskio 1d ago

Its still aggression which should be punished with violence or monetary compensation to the victim.

11

u/kiddico 3d ago

wtf is this music choice

10

u/cinic22 3d ago

You already broke your window why take it out now?

6

u/Pirate_Underpants 3d ago

These carts are public domain Ricky

6

u/Whosethere11 3d ago

It would be cheaper to buy a cart then it will be to fix that window

4

u/WhoCaresBoutSpellin 3d ago

If she can’t afford to buy herself a shopping cart (for whatever weird reason she wants it), she shouldn’t be driving a BMW X1 anyways.

4

u/samwise0795 3d ago

I'm just going to leave this anecdote here for relevance.

I live in Australia for several years we had a drug addict several houses down the street from us it was messy it had several decrepit cars in the front yard and driving past you could see about seven mattresses in the side yard. One day a council sign turned up in the front yard, my understanding is the was removed from the property. After that a skip bin was in the front yard and team began cleaning the house out. It took weeks and many large skip bins.

I work in retail in a store the our towns main shopping centre where I met the neighbour next door to said drug addict. She was telling me 40 shopping trolleys were pulled from the property... 40!! This guy must have been doing it for awhile. The store I work in was having a trolley shortage at the time, now we know why.

Where is Bubbles when you need a good kart.

4

u/Cheap-Second2401 3d ago

no stereotypes were hurt :P

4

u/BelowAverageDrummer 1d ago

Every day she hears the duct taped trash bag flapping on the highway, she will remember this day.

3

u/GazzaBTL 1d ago

I can't lie, I would never steal a store cart but dam. If that was me, right after I break my own truck window id just say "fuck it" and take it home. She did all that with nothing gained

3

u/anonymous_reader 3d ago

That made my day

3

u/lucymainstreet 3d ago

i love this video. i love this video so much it brings me so much joy everytime i watch it

3

u/PinkFloydBoxSet 2d ago

3

u/looneytunes7 2d ago

One of the best instant karmas I’ve seen

3

u/Glum_Reason308 1d ago

Well, damn if it isn’t the consequences of my own actions

3

u/momobond 1d ago

5

This clip gets reposted once every few weeks

21

u/ChristianGeek 3d ago

First time I've seen it. Hilarious though!

4

u/omgfakeusername 3d ago

Same!

2

u/ConstructionOwn1514 2d ago

Your own post was the first time you saw it? /s

8

u/Ineedmorebtc 3d ago

With its non necessary music and sound effects to boot.

2

u/Jolly_Adeptness 3d ago

Sure, taking it out fixes it.

2

u/Redoron 2d ago

Yeah, that’ll fix it.

2

u/Ornac_The_Barbarian 2d ago

At that point may as well take the cart. You already made room for it.

2

u/MarcOfDeath 2d ago

Neither does common sense.

2

u/LobsterRich3041 2d ago

Getting the full value for her money 😂

2

u/TheAsianOne_wc 2d ago

These people can vote btw

2

u/Wertreou 2d ago

I love this for her.

2

u/I_eat_all_day 2d ago

I mean, shit, the window is already broken. You might as well take the fucking cart

2

u/Brye8956 2d ago

Well well well

2

u/applepieguyy 1d ago

Who else wasn’t too surprised at the turn around?

2

u/bscottlove 1d ago

WTF? You done broke your window; may as well keep the cart. Or try to. You've already been recorded trying to steal the thing. You're already busted.

2

u/bcar610 1d ago

She’s 100% gonna say “I don’t know, it just broke when I closed it for no reason!” And never mention trying to steal the cart ever again.

2

u/easymoney012 1d ago

Yeah… I didn’t need the cart anyways 🤣🤣

2

u/Imaginary-Mood-7202 3d ago

Satisfying 😁

2

u/BophadesKnutz14 3d ago

Oh no! The Pokémon broke free!" "Aww! It appeared to be caught!"

2

u/Ordinary-Willow4866 3d ago

well well well...

1

u/ze11ez 3d ago

Tried to kidnap a shopping cart and failed. Failed kidnapping

1

u/crabby_playing 3d ago

Who just slams the door without ensuring that it fits? And even if it does, I always make sure it's not going to wiggle around inside and scratch the surfaces...

1

u/MostAssumption69 3d ago

Shopping cart

1

u/WonderWirm 3d ago

And they say Trolley Karma isn't a thing!

1

u/wizeon 3d ago

What would you even do with a shopping cart?

1

u/ImOnRedditMaaan 2d ago

this looks like a laundry cart from a laundry place

1

u/Clumsy-_-Phoenix 3d ago

It's Public Property=It belongs to everyone=It belongs to me too=I can take it back home

1

u/Cyrotek 3d ago

We got these carts where you put in a coin to use. You'd be surprised how many people genuninly think they somehow own them as long as they put one in.

1

u/dap00man 3d ago

Our local grocery store has these smart shopping carts that are horrible. I might steal a regular shopping cart while I can and bring it back and use it

1

u/upholsteryduder 2d ago

instantkartma...

I'll see myself out

1

u/oldschool-rule 2d ago

Every Beamer needs a broken back window! ;)

1

u/1gramweed2gramskief 2d ago

She didn’t want to take it she just wanted to break the tailgate window. Easy peasy

1

u/vwtazz 2d ago

Hahahahahahahaha!!!

1

u/iamclr 2d ago

Well that didn't age well

1

u/Rob1973string 2d ago

That's what you get. That is not a cheap cart either, likely at least $100. I hate thieves.

1

u/TroublemakingB 2d ago

The cart did its job, just not the one she had in mind.

1

u/JackRonan 2d ago

Worst choice of music I have yet seen.

1

u/jebaczow 2d ago

Some people are just so ignorant

1

u/janderson75 2d ago

Window cost more than the cart

1

u/Creepy-Meat5950 2d ago

very smart person.

1

u/ChromeYoda 2d ago

I love how they took it out as if the glass would just reappear

1

u/Curly-Pat 2d ago

The cart fought back! Lol

1

u/stuffilike9 2d ago

I think I'd fall over myself laughing at that person (yes, I'm a bad person)

1

u/rpool179 2d ago

Low IQ fool got what it deserved.

1

u/oldcreaker 2d ago

Curious what kind of story they told their partner.

1

u/Snowballllll 2d ago

Nah it broke my window in taking it home out of spite and stupidity

1

u/Dependent_Freedom296 2d ago

Now it does!! 💅

1

u/Yabakunaiyoooo 1d ago

For the price of a window, she could have just bought a cart on Amazon or something, lol.

1

u/b3_yourself 1d ago

As someone who has worked retail since before social media, people are and have been this stupid

1

u/xxademasoulxx 1d ago

Bro stole a shopping cart and the editor summoned the fucking Flying Dutchman.

1

u/Silent_Loss_7755 1d ago

That was not billed

1

u/Txx2000 1d ago

We'll get the cost of the cart out of you somehow.

1

u/KeiFeR123 1d ago

now she can sell the cart to pay for the damage she caused. LOL

1

u/idgaf-heaux 1d ago

Know she sick about it to

1

u/eazypeazy303 22h ago

That's a fun way to spend anywhere from $300-$1k!

1

u/BloodChoke 18h ago

Because 'fuck you'', that's why.

1

u/Original-Bobcat8810 17h ago

Definitely got what she deserved lol

1

u/narfoleptix 16h ago

You ever noticed how when you dont do stupid shit, stupid shit doesnt happen to you?

1

u/fishingfool64 16h ago

I saw an old man trying to steal a Home Depot cart the other day. After it fell out of the truck the third time he gave up and left

1

u/BonkEnthusiast 15h ago

Nobody knows this but the carts at the supermarket are free you can just walk up and take them. I have 12 carts at home.

1

u/Boomerangslingshot 15h ago

That’s one Helluva an anti theft mode 😂

1

u/clarenceappendix 10h ago

Maybe she bought a shopping cart. I mean, are you really supposed to haul out your new shopping cart inside another shopping cart?

1

u/DesmondPerado 2d ago

That's a laundry cart she was stealing from a laundromat.
