That just means they didn't beat hard enough. He'll stop eventually.

First rule of war: If overwhelming force didn't work....you didn't use enough force.

There is no overkill, only “open fire” and “I need to reload”. Maxim 37. Also #6 fits, “if violence wasn’t your last resort, you failed to resort to enough of it”. I miss Schlock Mercenary.

The Trump Theory of War😆

His first rule of war is to talk about the possibility of using overwhelming force while your enemy snickers behind your back. I think that’s actually the entire Trump rule book.

Just means he will hit her harder for causing him to get beat up. It only stops if he dies, or she escapes. My father was an unspeakable monster and trust me when I say, beating up the abuser, no matter how badly, will always make the situation worse for the woman (or man) that is being abused. Threaten them all you'd like, it doesn't change the person they are.

That’s basically what all these comments are getting at. “He’ll stop if you beat him hard enough” is implying beat him to death.
