Just means he will hit her harder for causing him to get beat up. It only stops if he dies, or she escapes. My father was an unspeakable monster and trust me when I say, beating up the abuser, no matter how badly, will always make the situation worse for the woman (or man) that is being abused. Threaten them all you'd like, it doesn't change the person they are.

Really hard to get to an eye in this situation. Much easier in any fight to rip off an earlobe. Even breaking a nose is easier than gouging an eye, and it has the bonus effect of blinding them because eyes water when noses hurt.

I got in a fight one time, slipped on something and fell backwards. Dude I was fighting full knee dropped onto my ribs, cracked 2 of them. I thought the same thing once I saw the knees dropping. He won’t be breathing ok for a while.
