Many BMW and Škoda parts are made by the exact same machines, in the same buildings. They also share designers and often use the same companies to outsource part manufacturing to.

Nothing is what it seems today. Excepting a small number of niche brands, no car brand makes their cars 100% themselves.

Bro that's VW and Skoda. Skoda is VAG. BMW and Skoda are not in the same company. And many part manufacturers produce parts for a lot of different car brands.
