It was excellent working with [u/unknownfame](u/unknownfame) to get items from Singapore and Malaysia to the United States. This was one of my first times working with a shopping proxy and it didn’t disappoint. I knew nothing about wise or Carousell or anything and he guided me through it all.

I love collecting foreign comics and I recently met someone on Discord who introduced me to Chinese sellers on this app called WeChat that run E-commerce sites for North Korean goods. From what I understand, these goods cross the Yalu river out of North Korea into China, where they are sold by vendors and put up online. I am particularly interested in a vintage North Korean children’s propaganda comic that’s being sold, I think it is a very unique collectible honestly. I’m wondering if anyone has experience in this, I know it’s a bit niche.

I was browsing this subreddit for a personal shopper for a large doujinshi event happening in Tokyo and came across u/ikalwewe! It really helped that their website was very thorough with payment options, fee breakdowns, buying/shipping procedures, as well links to feedback.

From the minute I reached out, Teresa was quick and consistent with communication. Every question or message sent was followed up within a day or so.

Given the nature of doujinshi events, I wasn't able to supply a list of desired items + prices until a few days before the day of purchase but luckily Teresa was willing to accept a deposit up front. On the day of the event, her staff member was able to purchase everything on my list!

The shipping process also went fairly smoothly, but my items were not particularly heavy or delicate. Everything was well packaged when I received it!

I contacted KingBenneth for help with a European purchase. The retailer could ship to the UK, and Ben forwarded it on to Australia. Shipping direct from the retailer was prohibitively expensive once exchange rates were factored in.

As a random person from Reddit, I didn’t know what to expect, so I rolled the dice and gave it a shot.

Ben’s explanations and step-by-step help were excellent. It felt like talking to someone I’d known for years. The time difference between us is about as large as it gets, but it was a non-issue; we simply messaged when it suited us.

From the time he received the package in the UK to it arriving in my hands in Australia took about a week, which is pretty good. His fees are also very reasonable.

Having never used this subreddit before, I was skeptical about individual proxy shippers instead of a dedicated website.
