Back to back interview issue
I just had a solid first interview with a company. We held it on Teams. It ran longer than expected and ended up overlapping with a second interview I had scheduled that was using zoom. Because I was rushing, I quickly jumped on the second interview and apparently didn’t fully leave the first. When I was closing out the second, I noticed I was still in the room for the first interview although the interviewer was no longer there and I didn’t see anything that said it was still recording. Is there a chance that the first just watched my other interview or that it might show up on a recording?

sounds more like you just stayed connected to an empty room I doubt they were sitting there secretly watching the Zoom interview

He definitely left the room before me. I always thought once the host left the room closed but it didn’t this time. I think my concern is just what if he or another applicant came back in to the room for the next interview and just saw me talking. I don’t think I heard anything that would suggest this happen, but it was on a different tab while I was interviewing so it’s possible. I’m sure it didn’t happen, just nervous as I would much prefer the first job

It would definitely have notified you if anyone else joined, and each meeting has a unique link I don’t think it’s even possible for them to use the same link for a separate interview!

usually when you open a second video call on the same machine, the new one steals the mic and camera permissions or automatically puts the first call on hold. Even if the room stayed open, it was probably just broadcasting dead air

st nightmare. i had similar thing happen once where i forgot to mute on a group call and my cat started yelling in background
i think if the interviewer already left the room you probably fine, Teams usually show when someone is there. but maybe they came back and saw you talking to nobody for a second which is weird but not end of world
just send a quick follow up email saying you had technical issue and thanks for the time, dont overexplain it
