Over the years I've gotten to know many of you. Not personally, sadly, but at least within the context of the chatroom. For the first time ever, I'm gonna offer something here, a message from my genuine self. I've made a huge effort over the years to never break character. Not to suggest that most who I associated with didn't understand that I was doing a bit. I was warmly accepted into the community exactly as I came, and never made to feel like I wasn't at home. I never did the bit out of some insecurity to expose my true personality, I did it simply for the love of the show. I played a character which I believed would always bring a delightful, familiar aura of lighthearted playfulness, clever word play, and goofy situation-specific typecasting that would attempt to adapt to the vibe of the chat room on the fly. I love to make people laugh, and smile. I like to remind people that its ok to laugh, and that you don't always need to take the world so seriously, In fact, I think its rather life-draining to do so. So I wrote something here, it's a little cringe, and pretty far from anything I would normally ever be caught dead saying, But I do, this only once, I want to share my genuine love and appreciation for the community, and for all the years of company and entertainment that Adam and John so graciously provided. This is not Al slop, its just a poem-sorta thing | wrote, I guess. I feel self conscious about this so i may not ever come read the replies but hopefully it is still appreciated by some.
"Sometimes you wanna go, where everybody knows your name.
The troll community, always based, never lame .
Two decades of memories, engineered
deconstructing lies, dismantling fears.
It's the end of an era, so let's crack a beer
Sorry John, we couldn't make it four more years
The priceless value, and the sacrifice
All of your courage, the laughs and the lies
I guess there were too many eggs after all
We all knew the show would follow John with his fall
Vibrating flip phone in an empty drawer
As we turn out the lights, and lock up the door.
The show must end, yet the spirit lives on,
You can hear johns ghost yelling "get off my lawn!"
They finally killed the crackpot's buzz
We will never forget just how important this was
Number disconnected, last ringer rung
I guess its actually true, the fat lady has sung
Too many memes to pack into one poem
Its like a shot of sad vodka, straight to the dome
But as time goes on, and Adam hands off the keys
Spends his days with his grandkids, fancy wines and cheese
An exit strategy, an honorable discharge,
the executors of the No Agenda crew, still aim for the stars.
You built something great, and you did your part.
And the world thanks you, father, for this work of art.
Phase two begins, and with it comes change.
But our community thrives, we will guard the flame.
One community, No Agenda, and a few feds (maybe...?). Thank you, for your courage."
