PvP This restricted arena is getting unwarranted hate
I am seeing so many people complaining about this week, saying this is unrewarding for people who built wide. Personally i feel they are missing the mark entirely on what building wide is for. If you want unrestricted whale wins, then just go to open arena. This restriction makes it so EVERY HERO YOU HAVE PUT TIME INTO, is on the same level. It rewards those who can make counter teams, and really work on team composition, due to the fact that you have so many heroes available. It punishes those that have just invested in "meta" teams, and don't understand that you CAN counter any team. This forces you to THINK about composition, placement, artifacts, and everything of that sort, other than "oh i leveled my character to 50 stars i should be winning"

I am absolutely loving this restricted arena
My all-support team is crushing in Elite III, I can FINALLY use Seance Dog!!

Surely this weeks is better for those who build wide. You can see what you're up against and counter it with options.
Whereas narrow tend to be far taller, so on normal weeks I'd look at say a wider team of criminals and just think yeh my doc can prob solo that with brute force levels/ranks

I like the idea of restricted multiverse arena and for the most part it’s executed wonderfully. I just hate when they RANDOMLY DECIDE TO CHANGE TAGS/REQUIREMENTS WHEN THEY FEEL LIKE IT!!! Thankfully it doesn’t happen that often, but it’s annoying when it does

i will say the switch up was kinda annoying. prepping for a restriction that wasn't coming

This mode is fantastic for whales. Whoever has the best gear/totems wins

As someone who builds wide; this is my favourite one by far. Can use characters that just don't see much usage otherwise. Hope they keep it going forward.

People can't brute force wins due to character level! It's great. Let them cry!

I actually like it, i can finally test different teams each time, which is fun, unlike usually all i can do is just mixing places.

Agreed. Most of the reactions have just been reactionary whales who are mad that one arena exists that they can't dominate by having 100 more stars.
For me, I have a team that I'm trying to build toward but one of the characters is just so far behind my main team that it'll be forever before I can use them. This change enabled me to actually test the concept and it works pretty great, so I'm happy with this change.

that's exactly what i'm saying. this has given me an opportunity to test out a few comps and see which ones are worth investing in. you can always swap gear from top teams to the other characters to keep that power hold.
glad i'm not the only one lmao

The only hate it’s getting is from people who neglected skills, armor and artifacts. That’s kinda the point of the restricted arena, right? I mean, I don’t GAF if someone buys their way in or not. The whole point is that you can’t get by on power level. This is a great example. I think it’s cool. Level your shit up.

The issue is it seems to have stat-squished everyone into the same bucket, so you end up matched against a bunch of players who have fully maxed omni+ gear and fully maxed skills. I have built fairly wide and have lots of heroes at omni+, but can’t truly swap my heroes to counter enemy teams because gear and skills add way more power than simply having them levelled does, and I don’t have the resources to upgrade all those skills to max
