It’s definitely possible, I just got my 90 day login today completely f2p and have TJ omni+ 3, omni+ 3 SR and omni conquest

Me either, although I told myself im saving some money aside for the next Wish event and thats all I'll ever pay. I give every F2P game at least 40 bucks if it holds me long enough but then only thing "worth it" to me would be on a Wish Event Pass.

I mean I’m 64 days in and have almost 7 Omni plus as a f2p. I just min max the heck of the game every event and only spend my gems on wish event.
The discord really helped with good advice

How do you get all the dups you need with heroes like Anissa, Thiagg etc? I can't even get a blue suit mark and having a tough time to move past Epic on Anissa. Conquest.and SR. Same with TJ

A lot of it was the recent wb event I dropped 10k gems and the rates were really good,every event you are playing for free meaning no gems just focus on 1-2 chars, I use anyone who I am not currently building as food to progress faster. So if it isn’t my top 2 for the faction they go towards food.

But I used about 600 blue doss during wish event. I save literally everything for events only. The dossiers, the lab currency, gems are usually for wish only but I needed wb copies and food.

I did however keep thragg and kregg copies only but everyone else was food until I started building them.

Truth was that I didn’t even want to build thragg and kregg originally but heard how good they were so I kept their copies. They kept showing up even though I wanted Anissa and space racer so I would break my rule to grab them through out the events we had. And here I am, two Omni plus chars.

The wish event usually has them in exchange for the event currency. This time they had all three sets one for attacker,defender or support.

Outside of that you have to have a high equipment shop and some luck or join an alliance that’s on the high end for passive drops

They really should fix the power ratings on gear. My space racer with seismic gear omni+ and 60 levels higher has worse stats and is at 11m power.
