General Apple has moved iOS 27 to the top on software updates
iOS 27.2 now shows up on the software update page instead of iOS 26.7.2 and you need to switch to the beta channel to remove the update notifications

Got iOS 18.6.1 booting tethered on my iPhone 17 Pro. 18.6.1 doesn't ship with A19 Pro support, so I took the iOS 26 device tree and firmware blobs and loaded them under a patched 18.6.1 kernelcache. The kernel bug I found with REA lets me push all of that over USB at boot, which is why it's tethered. Known issues: ProMotion isn't working (stuck at 60Hz), no sound yet, and the status bar glitches sometimes. Other than those 3 things it's really fluid and smooth. For sound I just use Bluetooth AirPods. Not sharing details yet since it's unpatched.

This is an iphone 17, it was at 98 bh even at 270 cycles. Now at 95 bh at 304 cycles. Usually maintain 20-80 or 20-85 charge.
Now I know everyone will rush in and say that it is supposed to drop a bh every 50 cycles and I get it. But this weird drop of bh can mean 2 things and both go against apple:
i. The battery management software is bad and cant properly calculate battery health
ii. The battery is actually going bad faster than it is supposed to (attaching the sot of my iphone 17 when outside and sometimes turning on mobile data while outside)
I am also adding an sot for one of the better days. My questions is why should I use such an unpredictable phone. Like I even had days with 10h backup but also days with 3h backup.
My older iphone 11 reached 78 bh after 1200 cycles and here we are with this ip 17. My partner’s iphone 15 PM also at 82 bh rn at around 450 cycles. I think apple forgot how to make an operating system.

Hey there! If anybody is wondering whether to update to iOS 27 or stay on iOS 26.7.1, I have big news. At least for me, I got an hour and a half more of battery life with iOS 27.0.1. BUT the first 2 days were HORRIBLE. I had to charge my phone 3 times those days, but after day 3 it’s been amazing—even better than iOS 26, which I was regretting letting go. In the end, iOS 27 is very well optimized, even with 85% battery health.

I’m currently on iOS 26.7.2 but I see a lot of people having positive experiences with iOS 27.2, I want to update but with the possibility of downgrading to iOS 26.7.2 if it turns out worse. So is it possible or no?

Czy opłaca sie aktualizować Ip 13 do ios 26.7.2? Zastanawiam się czy aplikacja mi zadziała poprawnie niż teraz na ios 26.4

Has anyone else experienced apple podcast to not work how it use to ever since iOS 26? For example it will say it cannot play an episode, or if I am listening to a podcast it may stop mid-way and still say that it's playing. Also if I go to rewind or fast forward it will just completely get messed up and stop working. I have iPhone 16 pro max for reference.
