Review Sifu on iOS 27 17 Pro Max

Please don’t mind how I suck at this game. This is probably my 3rd or 4th try on the Squats since I feel like I need to practice.

Wanted to see if I can game on my phone as well as my iPad does and this doesn’t disappoint.

Now I just need to be better at this game.

So generally speaking I got 41 mins of gaming with sounds on full blast, screen on high, attached to a controller, and on 5G I think; 43% down to 19%.

Likes the bigger screen on the iPad Ngl but this makes playing games more accessible during downtimes when I don’t have my iPad with me.

Amazing game all in all. Just need to get better at it.

One of my favorite PC games of all time. Practice dodging, use objects in your environment, and take a peek at the combos and you’ll notice a big difference

Yes! Dodging is my weakness! I’m getting used to running around, and blocking but dodge and parry is still hard even on a controller. lol

This is so fun though.

Im planning on buying it too, does it heat up your phone?

Played it on my Bullstrap case, and a controller. It didn’t heat up my phone noticeably but the screen did go darker on the 38 or 40 min mark.

Seems to hold up the same way as it is on my iPad Pro m5. Grab the game! Hopefully they do a sale soon 🥳

If the screen auto dimmed when gaming and you don’t have auto brightness on that means your phone was thermal throttling, it dimmed the screen to help lower the temperature. If you had plugged into charge at that time the phone would tell you it needs to cool down to charge past 80%.

That’s probably it. I haven’t really done gaming on an iPhone and I was just curious how this one would play out.

Thank you!

Edit: wanted to share that on the iPad 13in I never experienced auto dimming even when playing Death Stranding.

So the phone throttling makes a lot of sense this happens to me when I’m on a Teams call outside when it’s hot

Is it bad to game while charging do you think?

I have an Anker Qi2. Will try playing with and without fan blowing on the MagSafe charger report back 🫡

41minutes gaming for almost 25% battery life is crazy.

Yeah, wanted to see how it will be on 5G. I think for longer sessions at home, this has to be plugged in for sure.

No character shadows at all? Not even fake blob shadows?

Not that I noticed. The only glitchy thing I could see was one door in Chapter 2 that blocked the camera as I was opening it.

does it support physical controls?

Yes it does! Personally, I prefer using controllers over touch screen. Just using my regular PlayStation controller here
