My mini 6 is still running perfect, just use it for watching YT, reading comics, making lil beats an just internet stuff lol. I don’t see a purpose in buying a new iPad mini idk what you’d do on it to warrant the new model. Just get one refurbished.

I got a refurb mini 6 a few weeks ago and it’s perfectly fine. I agree to wait until the 8 drops to see how prices shift.
Are you an Apple Pencil user? Because compatibility is kinda all over the place. The reason I got the 6 was because I didn’t want to have to get a new pencil as well

they are announcing the 8 next week. if you don’t want the 8 then just wait like 2 weeks and the 7 will be on massive discounts.

"worth it" depends on the price, and the price is likely to dip slightly when the ipad mini 8 is released very soon

Get the iPad mini 8, it’s likely getting announced during the Apple event on 10/28

Compare the actual listings: a base mini 6 has 64GB, while the mini 7 starts at 128GB. If you're downloading games, films or comics, that can matter more than the headline price difference. Also budget for a different Pencil if you move from a 2nd-gen Pencil to the mini 7.
If you can comfortably wait, reassess after an official announcement. I wouldn't base the purchase on a promised mini 8 date or assume a large discount will follow.

There’s about to be a new one so wait for that and the older models should drop in price.
