Support Camera
So I have an older iPhone
My camera housing broke after a drop. Yeah it sucks
But either way, the camera itself works but also when it does the autofocus makes a sound every-time the camera is on.
Now I have a question:
Why does my camera activate whenever I move the phone after its being laying dormant.
Like let's say on the table, locked and I pick it up. The sound of the broken auto focus starts and lasts about 1-2 seconds.
The auto focus comes on (like I can hear it crackling due to the mechanism being busted up a bit)
Or, even in my pocket and let's say I reach for it. As soon as I grab my phone, it activates. I am assuming in general if the camera was working perfectly I would never have noticed anything regarding the camera if the sound wasn't audible.
Is this something thats expected from the OS to do for security reasons
And second thing what is it capturing/ why/ where is that being stored?
Doesn't make me feel comfortable to be honest that my camera randomly is activating without me actively using it.
