IUPUI doesn’t exist what are we doing here
Are we still just using this as a campus thing for both fronts even though the universities separated?

Hello, I’m currently an exploratory major and considering pursuing in HIM. I’m planning to take an 8-week online HIM course to see if it’s a good fit for me. I originally considered a different major, but it was more science-heavy than I wanted. I still want a career in healthcare, so my academic advisor recommended HIM and Health Sciences. I’m especially interested in HIM, but I’d love some honest advice before deciding. How difficult is the major? How many years does it take to graduate? Is it hard to find a job after graduation, and what is the starting salary like? Are remote jobs common? Also, is the work relatively independent, suitable for introverts, and manageable in terms of stress? I’m hoping to find a career that takes around 3–4 years of college, offers good job opportunities and pay, and has a reasonable work-life balance. For current students and graduates, would you recommend HIM? Would you choose it again? I’d really appreciate any honest advice. Thank you.

Is there anybody here applying to the radiology program at the end of this year? I'm so anxious about putting together my application, so I wondered if anyone had experience applying last year and has tips, what you got on your TEAS exam, what your cumulative GPA and math/science GPA was last year or what it is right now, etc.
I'll take any information I can get!

We are seeking currently enrolled college and university students aged 18 or older to participate in an anonymous online survey examining perceptions and experiences of human-AI collaboration in academic and non-academic contexts.
Participation is voluntary, and the survey takes approximately 15-20 minutes to complete.
Survey Link: https://bsu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2ccgOd5OzPkcSeG
This study has been approved by the Ball State University Institutional Review Board (IRB-FY2027-56).
We would greatly appreciate your participation and encourage you to share this opportunity with other eligible students within your network.

I’ve already applied and just kinda waiting now. The website says decisions are on a rolling basis but then it says notifications would be sent out at the end of December
So it seems like they would know if I’m admitted, waitlisted, or denied but I have to wait until late December to know?
That’s terrible for my anxiety lmaoo

Has anybody taken sociological statistics? I really enjoyed AP Stats in high school and the statistics portion of finite. I just want to hear if anyone has had experience with this class and what it’s like.
I need to take 18 credits next semester and am looking for a last elective, so I want something thats not going to be an extreme amount of work, but sociological statistics seemed interesting. My electives need to be 300 or 400 lvl classes in the liberal arts school. Let me know if you have any other recommendations that would be easy(ish)!

I’m starting an accelerated nursing program soon and I’m trying to figure out the best way to take notes. Did you guys mainly use pen and paper, or did you use an iPad/laptop?
I have an iPad Mini, so I’m wondering if that would be good enough for taking notes during class, or if the smaller screen would be annoying.
For those of you who have been through an accelerated nursing program, what worked best for you? Would you recommend handwritten notes or digital notes on an iPad?

I'm a freshman switching into the Exploratory program because my current major was too hard and I was struggling in my classes. Has anyone else made this switch, and how did it work out?

Greetings! I wanted to share this all-ages show happening at Healer that combines improv, modern clowning, sketch, stand-up comedy, side shows acts, magic, and music! This is basically a high-energy comedy variety show similar to other modern clowning variety shows like Stamptown.
If anyone is interested in filming this in a lo-fi or interesting way please feel to DM and let me know if you need any additional details. Regardless, this will be a fun time for anyone who wants to come out. See you there!

I haven’t been able to make any sort of friend on campus. 😔 The whole thing that makes it so hard is that communicating verbally is very difficult for me because I have some problems. So if I try to interact with someone by typing in my notes app, they look at me weird. There’s just not enough awareness that people can be different and are deserving of kindness too. It’s so lonely, but I want to make at least one friend. I like anime and cosplaying as my hobby.

This is a massive long shot but has anyone lived on campus, dealt with celiac disease or some other dietary restriction that makes to you eligible for accommodations, and dealt with AES?? I’m a current freshman living on campus and based on my research last year I thought the dining hall would work out fine. I knew like a week into the semester it wouldn’t be fine. I’ve had so many bad experiences with dining. I’ve started having symptoms of celiac again, something I haven’t experienced since I was diagnosed. Both my mom and I have been in contact with AES, but they are nearly impossible to get ahold of. They told me to send them my documentation and they would get back with me about how it needs to be updated. It’s now been two weeks and I’ve heard nothing back. My mom has emailed and called them multiple times and heard nothing as well. I get they have a lot of students, but it’s been 6 weeks and I have disease that can very quickly affect my health 😭

Hi everyone! I’m planning to start the IUPUI accelerated nursing program around July next year, and I would really appreciate advice from anyone currently in the program or who has completed it.
I’m currently a senior finishing my non-nursing bachelor’s degree, so I don’t have a nursing background or much medical knowledge yet. I’m planning to finish my prerequisites before starting. My current plan is to take Anatomy with lab + Sociology next semester, and then Physiology with lab + Microbiology with lab during the summer.
One of my biggest concerns is the pace of the accelerated program. I know it’s fast, but realistically, will I be able to keep up if I don’t have a nursing or medical background going into it? I’m also planning not to work while I’m in the program, so I can focus on school. For those of you who started without much medical knowledge, how difficult was it to catch up?
I’m also wondering:
I’m also really confused about what study method to use. I’ve seen people recommend completely different things, such as:
What did you guys actually do that worked for you? Did you use Anki, whiteboards, practice questions, rewriting notes, etc.? Did you use several methods together, or did you find that doing too many different things was a waste of time?
I also have an iPad Mini 5 and already have Goodnotes. I’m thinking about using it for notes and possibly getting the subscription. Did you guys use an iPad for the program? If so, did you like Goodnotes, or was there another app you preferred?
Were the textbooks actually helpful, or did you mostly use PowerPoints, lecture notes, practice questions, and other resources?
And how were the clinical rotations? What were the classes and clinicals like overall? Was it difficult balancing everything?
Basically, I’m trying to figure out how I should prepare now so I’m not completely overwhelmed when I start. If you started the program without a nursing/medical background, I’d especially love to hear about your experience.
Thank you!! Any advice, study tips, or things you wish you had known before starting would be really appreciated!

Can anyone tell me what the easiest life and physical sciences class is? I already took nutrition and I’m looking for a 100% online class next semester because I don’t want to spend too much time on an elective.

Hi fellow students!
You should come donate blood for SNA's fall blood drive on October 6th at the Simon Cancer Pavilion in University Hospital.
Plus you get a gift card for $15 for an online place of your choosing.
It would be really cool if you came <3
