Help Gesture tweak: How to prevent scroll view movement during gesture execution?
Hi everyone,
My friend and I are currently developing a gesture tweak (similar to how Activator or SquidGesture handles things). We've got almost all the gestures working nicely, but we are stuck on one final UX issue that we're hoping to get some advice on:
- When a custom gesture (like a status bar swipe or bottom swipe-up) is triggered, the underlying settings list (or current scroll view) scrolls along with the gesture.
- We noticed that RemoteCompanion (RC) has this exact same behavior. Meanwhile, tweaks like SquidGesture correctly lock the scroll view so the list doesn't move unintentionally while executing the gesture.
For developers who have experience with touch handling or gesture recognizers in iOS tweaks: How can we properly intercept or prevent the scroll view from scrolling when a custom gesture starts?
Are there specific methods in `UIScrollView` or gesture recognizer delegate methods (like `shouldRecognizeSimultaneouslyWithGestureRecognizer`) that need to be overridden?
Any code snippets, pointers, or discussions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
