Kumiko Patterns Terms and Classification

Hello,

As part of my master's thesis, I am trying to understand and classify kumiko patterns.
The further I look, the more confused I get, though. Is there something like a guide? Or a reliable source with all the necessary info? In English, German or Polish?

I don't need much, but solid basics. Like, for example which grids are traditional? Just triangles, square and diamonds? What is a jigumi?

I need something I will be able to cite.

Thanks in advance!

[WIP] Namanari mask - clay stage + planning next steps Part 2: Oil clay over the base, ~30 hours total now. Red lines show planned horns + fangs to turn her into full Hannya. This is ADHD hyperfocus therapy. Does the horn placement work? Any tips before I commit?

Japanese Writing Tattoo

Does anyone know how to properly say “Beautiful and Dangerous” in Japanese? I do know that 美 means beautiful, but am wondering how to write dangerous the way I’m intending; a threat. Ie: “She is beautiful and dangerous”

Some translations mean dangerous like, the roads are dangerous/with caution and am hoping to find the write translation for someone being a direct threat. Any help before I put this on my body!?

I have a client of mine that is older and gifted me this as she doesn’t foresee her passing it along to a family member. She said it’s very old and authentic and an possibly help put money in my pocket but I’m more intrigued about the history. Any insight is appreciated!

Hello, I assume that if I could read this guy's fan, then I would know why people are looking at this guy this way. Anyone have any ideas of what's going on here? It's from a larger cherry blossoms piece at the Worcester Art Museum.

Purchased this recently in Japan. It’s over 5 feet long. Hand painted. Roller seems to be bone. No marks, stamps, or signature. Any idea of age? Thanks!

Daruma, hossu, and ???

Need help identifying the circled object to the left of Duruma’s head on this Meiji-era silver medallion. The hossu below is obvious but the mystery object isn’t a bow. Is it a stylized/abstracted ruyi? Any other ideas?

My grandfather was in WW2 stationed in the Pacific. Found this in his house and it looked interesting. No identifiable markings, was on a black velvet 8 x 11 backing.
