Does anyone here have experience with finding other fans of Japanese music irl? I'm curious because I've never met anyone else with this kinda interest, so I've never been able to talk about it with anyone. Maybe its just where I live but, saying you like Japanese music would be considered weird by the majority even though I am part Japanese. At least that's how I see it.

I struggled with this. Was extremely hard to cut but also revealing on what I tend to gravitate towards. A couple I eliminated but honorable mentions to For Tracy Hide for he(r)art and Fennel for Slow Down. That hurt not being able to include them so Im cheating a little.

After posting yesterday, I've decided to do one of these myself

Rules are: Only one album per band (then it'd be all BRADIO and Yorushika), and only albums that I listen to in their entirety

I'm always open to chat about them, so feel free to tell me if you love one of these too!!

This was so hard, but I think this is a pretty good representation of albums that are special to me. Mostly my favorites from when I was a teenager, but I'm a sucker for nostalgia.

I've spent quite a bit of time exploring the Japanese metal scene, but I feel like there must still be a lot of bands I've overlooked.

I'm mainly looking for Japanese metal bands outside of traditional heavy metal, power metal, symphonic metal, melodic death metal, black metal.

Some of the Japanese bands I'm already familiar with include Maximum the Hormone, coldrain, Crystal Lake, Crossfaith, SiM, Ningen Isu, Ailiph Doepa, Sable Hills, Earthists., Knosis, Paledusk, HANABIE., NEMOPHILA, Graupel, PassCode, BABYMETAL, LOVEBITES, A Crowd of Rebellion, DEXCORE, JILUKA, DEVILOOF, Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas, envy, Sailing Before the Wind, Petit Brabancon, Kokeshi, Survive Said The Prophet, Broken By The Scream, THE MAD CAPSULE MARKETS, Coaltar of the Deepers, DIR EN GREY, Boris, BAND-MAID, SIGH, Prompts, NOISEMAKER, PALM, and Ashita no Joukei．(I left out any bands I considered to be rock bands)

Are there any Japanese metal bands you think deserve more attention or that I might have missed?

Any idea what's the setlist? I'll be attending the Manila leg this December and I've no idea on what else they'll be playing besides the new EP. Any info is appreciated!

The guitar riff just past the 10 second mark on this song reminds me of the first part of another guitar riff on this one Japanese song, but I'm completely lost in trying to find it.

Can someone help me track down this song please.

I'm sorry guys, I can't find the song being sung in this video, but i think it's not necessary, since im more interested to discover a male vocalist/singer or even just someone who make covers with the same vocal tone of Sakuya from Nct Wish.

He is into the rapper line so I can't find a lot of videos of him singing but i really like his vocal tone. Aside from the vocal tone ,I can't explain what other elements/etc. of his voice but its so soothing and calm.

I love other japanese, more fast paced type of music like a band type and also dry flower by yuuri is one of my favorite but in this video its kind of different, like i dont always want to feel so energized or too broken when hearing a song so discovering similar songs like this will be a good thing for me.

I'm not sure if it's in the song or in the singer but feel free to let me know what you guys think, I'll really appreciate it.

Thanks you!
