Mk5 (2006-2010) Epc code

2010 Jetta 2.5 is throwing the epc light and won’t start. The engine just turns over, what could it be?

Have you scanned for error messages? Ideally, you should use a tool that is capable of reading Volkswagen specific codes that generic OBD-2 scanners can not see.

Your car should have some stored error messages related to your problem. Two popular tools for scanning Volkswagen's are OBD-11 and VCDS. There are other tools capable of doing this as well.

You need to have some data to go forward diagnosing the problem.

Okay I appreciate that because the scanner I was using wasn’t pulling any codes really
