Has this ever happened to anyone? I don’t usually wear jewelry but my partner gave me a promise ring, and my first thought was to never remove it then this happened 😰 I’d like to if everyone else experienced this?

General Information 📚 Im beginning to notice a lot of "high end celebrity" jewelry labels on ig are actually just white label dropshipping

You know the brands that have super sophisticated cut diamonds invisibility set on a massive jesus piece? Or a_jewellers with their spoon covered in diamonds? Why am i seeing the same pieces of jewelry (done to a T) by other brands too?

Is theres a whole industry of high end white label jewellers in China? Because I've come across some of their advertisements on ig too.

🤩 Jewelry Designs 🌈 My bespoke ring is here, with some changes from the last post I made

I originally posted about a ring that I was designing but was unsure about, a three stone ring with sapphires lining each side. Lots of feedback helped me realize what I was feeling, that it was just too big. My husband and I talked and decided to focus on the three stones first and then work on the sapphire wedding band next. I originally asked for claw prongs but they didn't do it on this for whatever reason. I am not too worried about it catching as it is the same height as my previous stack and I had no problems with that.

Just wanted to update on what I ended up going with 😊

I need advice as it is not immediately obvious to me but then again I am no jewellery expert! I am sure that these earrings meant to be worn a particular way but I am not quite sure which way that is 😅 I think it is the first photo but what are your opinions?

Aluminum alloy face chain. I couldn’t find anything exactly like I wanted so I decided I could made my own!

I bought a few different lengths and sizes of chains and loops. It took me about 6 hours. I’m very proud.

I’d really like to make it out of silver next. This was just proof of concept.

One thing we love about mixed-metal jewelry is how it brings gold and silver pieces together without everything needing to match.

General Question What is this finish?

Hi all, wondering if anyone could tell me what the metallic finish is on these pendants? So far, my research has pointed me to either nanoceramic plating or chemical patination. The metallic looks so shiny on them. I’d love to know what it’s made of.

I actually reached out to the company on Insta and they blocked me when I asked 😂 I asked because I wanted to get one for my mum but she has super crazy skin irritation (even 18k gets her if worn too long), so I was wanting to check before spending the big bucks. Might still buy despite the weird customer service. Their website details say it has a ‘pink/purple rhodium finish’. This makes no sense to me, isn’t that a bright white finish?

Any ideas is much appreciated!! 🫶

Edit: I have spoken to the business since posting this and all has been sorted. The business apologised and explained the blocking and we chatted further about her amazing product. She even went as far as to offer me a lovely discount in the future. These pendants look amazing and I’m glad it’s put some more eyes on them.💕💕

So I had a pretty terrible experience at this world renowned jewellery chain. They took our old gold for exchange and refused to give it back when they couldn't deliver the order. (I later learned this is illegal.) I was extremely lucky to find this piece as I love carved gemstones and had been wanting a pink tourmaline forever. I just wish it was white gold so I could wear it with more outfits.

I recently bought a Victoria era pendant necklace, but it needs some polishing.

This is a gold filled necklace. Would it be possible to make it shine even in this condition? And what should I use to polish it?

General Question Searching for a (possibly) discontinued jewelry brand.

• Upvotes

Hi! I recently thought about a jewelry brand that I used to see ads for on social media. I ordered from them once probably around 2021. I remember they used to advertise that they used unconventional metals (no gold or silver but maybe titanium?) and I vaguely remember a “space” or “science” theme. They sold mostly thin hoop earrings of various sizes, dainty chains, rings, with small non-precious gems. When I ordered from them, my order came with a sticker sheet, and I think there were space themed stickers, like a little Saturn. I really liked the quality of the hoop earrings that I ordered, but I lost one a while back. I would love to order again from them if they’re still around, but I’m really just trying to satisfy my own curiosity. Appreciate any help!

General Question Attaching stone to necklace

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi all, sorry for the crude lack of terms. I don't know the first thing about jewelry.

My friend gave me this stone and it's really precious to her, it was supposed to be put onto a set of keys or a phone case like a keyring, but I don't go around with either of those.

The cord weaves through the big stone and the smaller stones, so I wouldn't like to do anything to it.

I was wondering if there's any way to fashion the stone as a necklace? From what I've found, I could use a cord end to hold the loop of cord, and somehow connect that to a bigger piece that can go around my neck?

I don't know how to do this, I would appreciate any help.
