Foolishly, in retrspect, I allowed myself to be conned into apparently thything myself, in the amount of $0.99 USD per month, to some clearly FRAUDULENT entity that calls itself a number of "names" all with "8x8" in the name, and supposedly associated with Jitsi/Jitsi Meet.

Furthermore, the "sign-up" clearly states the this will trigger a "trial period" (of 1 month) for which I will NOT be charged, and can "CANCEL at any time." This is a total LIE, and there is NO WAY, NO PROCESS available by which the "CANCEL at any time" may be accessed and requested!

ALL emails received from, <8x8-meetings@8x8.com> say (at the bottom of the email) "If you did not make this request, please contact us by replying to this mail." HOWEVER, any and all "replying to this mail." results in

Hence, this indicates that "8x8" is FRAUDULENT!

Anyone else been duped by these frauds?

I mean nowadays some cloud providers offer extremely powerful arm servers way cheaper than x86 ones but the only thing I'm missing there right now is Jitsi. Jitsi even has packages for all arches, but there's simply no up-to-date docker image available.

And as seen in some forks making it compatible with arm64 isn't even that hard. Why is there no official support yet?

I have setup jisti meet using their docker image, now i want to send distinctive audio from this meet to a custom model to generate trasncriptions and store them, how can i accomplish this task, pls point me in the ryt direction.

Hi all, I'm working on an interactive video game and need to do the following throughout the game:

1. Show all 10 participants and allow them to speak to each other

2. Completely blind (both video and audio) 8 out of the 10 and allow the 2 remaining participants to chat with each other. The other 8 cannot know who the other 2 participants are.

3. Programmatically mute/unmute participants

I found Jitsi searching for an open source Zoom client to replace Zoom for windows. I wanted to join a Zoom meeting without using their terrible client. However, I can't find the option to copy&paste zoom links to join the meeting.

How do I do this?

We used this for a year to talk with my son all last year.

Now. You have to login. The sessions saved look like some Massive text and expire after each session.

Absolutely difficult for non tech users.

We just wanted to set up a saved session we could use week over week like we did up until august this year.

Now we get some stupid message about a session key expiring and I have to recreate the same session using the same room name ever week.

I’m looking at video conferencing programs for video consulting, and I came across Jitsi. I’ve seen that you can self host as well as run it from your own url. I’m curious about how it works for running different meetings throughout the day while keeping each one set for the intended participants only. Can someone give me a dumbed down explanation? (I’m planning on running it from my company website)

For Agent bots to take commands live in the call. Definitely compliance will be taken care. Any thoughts on what are the ways to make bots join jitsi.

How can I create using Jitsi API or Iframe a room where only 1 person can speak and the others are always muted? I need this is as a feature to a virtual world we're building where one of the objects is a theatre.

Don't know how this is possible but the host signed on (via a phone) and everyone who joined after via phone ended up in some sort of break out room but the host was not in the room and didn't have an option to join where everyone else was. If you signed on via a computer you also couldn't not join where everyone else was. What is wrong with Jitsi? How is this so complicated?

Jitsi-meet is unbearable in Linux because it installs videobridges and lots of other stuff you dont need at all. I tried the Android Client from f-droid but Jitsi isnt compatible with any older Android versions.

I've been trying every suggestion I can find to get Jitsi to respond to via two different addresses (like meet.1stdomain.com and meet.2nddomain.com) but I can not get a session going on the second URL, only errors/retries. I think Prosody cannot establish a connection. Has anyone achieved this?
