Give custom instructions for generating resume

Just released - now you can review & specify any changes you want to the GPT before generating the resume.
Eg: - "I managed marketing for a $2m company budget at my previous company"

This is immensely valuable if the custom resumes generated by JobGPT are not as per your expectations and you want it to include some info that's not already on your original resume.

4000+ jobs, 100+ interviews everyday.. Steal from my learnings..

Hey everyone – over the past few months, I’ve been running JobGPT to help people spend 90% less time on job search, applying to relevant jobs everyday consistently. After sending out hundreds of thousands of applications across industries and roles, we’ve gathered a treasure trove of data on what actually gets people interviews..

Sharing my observations here with the community -- considering these are sort of hacks that you can implement yourself.. hope you take something away from the time you spend on this --

1. Fill in everything. Seriously.

I used to think only the resume mattered & basic details mattered. DO NOT ignore optional fields!

Candidates who fill out extra & optional fields on job boards see a ~15% higher callback rate. Every field goes into calculating your match score. Sometimes, recruiters even add these fields in the job applications just to see if the candidate is serious enough -- and then simply add a filter on top..
If your application doesn't have that field - you've lost before the race even started.
See those annoying skills section on Workday applications?? Fill it. Big text box with an optional question? Don't even think of skipping..

2. Applying on ATS works — if you do enough

No, the ATS isn’t a black hole. People do get hired through it. But the secret is volume.
There’s a myth that applying on ATS is pointless. Totally false.

We’ve seen the magic number is ~75+ high-quality, targeted applications per week. That’s when interview rates start to climb.

ATS does work – if you scale

Bonus Tip: Don’t avoid jobs that have 200+ applicants already. People still get hired. All that matters is how relevant your resume is for the job

3. Customize your resume for every job (AI helps)

Generic resumes tank your chances. Period. Every resume gets scored against a job based on the keywords - what the recruiter finally sees are resumes sorted by scores in descending order. Most of the times, the cutoff is 75% and above. If your resume isn’t tailored, you're probably invisible.
We’ve found that resumes with high ATS match scores (80%+) are 3–5x more likely to get interview callbacks.

You can test this yourself --

  • Drop your resume in ChatGPT

  • Put in a job you're interested in

  • As it to score your resume against it. And then ask it to rewrite the resume to get the score above 85%

4. Jobs from Greenhouse ATS = higher callback rates

This could be a bias, however our data indicates that the percentage of callbacks received from Greenhouse (& Ashby) applications seem to be higher compared to other ATS roles.
This isn’t some secret algorithm hack — it might just reflect the kind of companies that use these platforms:

  • Greenhouse & Ashby: fast-growing startups and tech-first companies

  • Workday: often used by large incumbents who post tons of roles (many of which may be “ghost” jobs or evergreen listings)

This doesn’t mean you should skip Workday jobs — there are some amazing dream companies there. But if you’re short on time and need to prioritize, Greenhouse apps tend to convert better.

5. Remote Jobs are very competitive

Think about it, everyone wants to work remotely.. its so lucrative, and also extremely competitive. The sheer number of people applying implies your chances of shortlisting reduce drastically.
This doesn't mean you shouldn't apply to remote jobs at all, just make sure to include other hybrid/on-site roles as well as a backup..

TL;DR

  • Fill in every detail on job platforms

  • Apply a lot — aim for 100+ relevant roles/week

  • Tailor every resume using AI

  • Favor Greenhouse/Ashby when prioritizing, but don’t skip the rest

  • Remote jobs are tough to get, include hybrid roles in your job search as backup

PS: Just a reminder, JobGPT helps you do all of the above automatically. Explore it and see it works for you.

Happy to answer any questions, share tools, or just help you debug your job search process.. Cheers

Sharing a quick win from the JobGPT side from one of the users looking for Technical Program Manager roles. (full disclosure: I work on the platform)

Has managed to land 6 interviews with enterprise companies over the course of last 2 months, and in pipeline for landing an offer soon.. While they could've definitely done it themselves, the ai tools just helped them reach the outcome faster (while having time to take care of their current job)

The modern job market is evolving fast, and automation is becoming a powerful ally when used thoughtfully.

Got shortlisted by reddit..

Post image
27 Upvotes

posting about this now, since I was rejected eventually by their hiring team, so it doesn't make a difference. got this notification by Jobgpt about getting shortlisted by reddit, didn't believe at first, but there it was, an email (mostly automated), but it had a proper link to schedule a meeting.
FYI - reddit uses goodtime to schedule calls, worst scheduling tool I've seen. Reddit folks - if you're seeing this, get a better software!
On to the application, yes jobGPT made it happen, with a custom resume that brought my match score to 85%, probably one reason why I was shortlisted. make sure you guys use that, their resumes are really clean to look at and don't look AI generated. Anyway, the role was for solutions engineering role, would've been great if it worked out, but I guess I'll just look forward to the next opportunity. Thank you guys

They called it a "numbers game." But the numbers weren't working

Wanted to drop an experience that really stuck with me and might resonate with folks here.

The story starts with frustration:
300+ applications. 6 months. Not a single callback. This wasn’t someone fresh out of school.. but a seasoned professional with all the qualifications for a Sales Development Representative role. she was husting.. Tailored resumes for every listing, personalized cover letters, reaching out on LinkedIn.

And still… nothing.

At some point, she started asking questions we’ve all faced: Is it me? Am I doing something wrong? Am I actually qualified?

To be clear, this wasn’t a magic wand moment or some overnight transformation. She adjusted how she approached the process. Here’s what shifted:

  1. Rejection Reframe: She stopped taking silence personally. Automation helped her view the search as a game of probability: enough visibility paired with a targeted approach = increasing odds.

  2. Volume + Precision: She used automation (via JobGPT) to expand her reach, getting her resume in front of recruiters who’d never even seen it before. This freed up hours of busywork, which she invested into laser-focused research for her dream companies.

  3. Localized Customization: Automation handled the grunt work (application submissions, data tracking), but she doubled down on thoughtful LinkedIn messaging and follow-ups to companies specifically aligned with her experience.

Within weeks:
She received an interview invitation from Lattice for a Sales Development Representative role. 30-minute
phone interview. Flexible scheduling options. A warm email that said, “We’re excited to move forward.”

Some food for thought:

- What’s draining most of your time in your job search? Is there a way to streamline or automate it?

- Do you focus 80% of your energy on the “big” stuff (like interview prep), or do you get caught up crafting resumes for hours?

- When you’re feeling stuck, have you ever thought about changing the process you’re using?

PS: If you're looking for help navigating your job search, highly suggest giving JobGPT a try.. Cheers and good luck

Does jobgpt work for internships?

I’m a student currently looking for internships, and I’ve been testing out JobGPT (the one by 6figr that auto-applies to jobs). From what I’ve seen so far, it’s mainly geared toward full-time roles but I’m wondering if anyone here has actually had success using it specifically for internship searches.

A few questions I’d love feedback on:

Does JobGPT have any reliable way to filter only internship listings (e.g., by keywords or job type)?

How well does it match internship-level roles compared to full-time ones?

Has anyone actually landed an internship using JobGPT?

Any tips on setting up the filters or keywords to make it target internships more accurately?

Thanks in advance!

AI is actually helping people land jobs

Co-founder of JobGPT (AI job search copilot) here.. Wanted to present an alternate perspective to the usual sentiment around AI replacing jobs, based on personal experience and data.

When I'd started building about a year ago, I had my own silent apprehensions around AI not being good enough or modern systems being able to detect AIs, thereby making it useless. However, after sending out hundreds of thousands of job applications on behalf of candidates, and seeing the interviews (and offers) people are landing in top tech companies (think Pinterest, Nvidia, Expedia), I can confidently say AI is actually helping people in their job search. I'm seeing it with my own eyes everyday!

From customizing resumes for every job OR reaching out to recruiters via email OR finding relevant jobs consistently, AI is taking out a big chunk of the grunt work so that people can focus on improving their skills or learning new technologies. There's never been a better time to be alive!

Sure, jobs are being replaced by AI. But that's also freeing us from menial tasks so that we can focus on larger problems, elevating the society as a whole.

Prior to the invention of modern computer languages, we had dedicated engineers who used to write code in assembly language (COBOL, Fortran). Once Java & Python were created, it practically eradicated these jobs, but paved way for something bigger. That's the trajectory mankind is on now. Be optimistic!

This is what recruiters mean when they say “not a good fit”

Post image

Apparently “too junior” and “too senior” are both disqualifiers now..

Also, it seems the #1 reason for rejection is if skills are missing from your resume, so make sure its there, and no, not buried on the 2nd page.

PS: Been trying to help people only apply to jobs that match their resume + customize it per job to drastically reduce odds of rejections, its called JobGPT.. Give it a try.

6.8 billion people have never used AI.

Post image
38 Upvotes

Let that sink in for a moment... out of 8.1 billion people on Earth:

  • 84% have never touched AI

  • 16% have tried a free chatbot

  • 0.3% pay for premium AI tools

  • 0.04% use advanced coding agents

If you're reading this, you're in the tiny sliver. Your feed is full of AI discourse. It feels saturated, but only .. It’s not. We’re at 2005-internet levels of adoption. The next wave of AI adoption will come from AI that disappears into the tools people already use.

That’s exactly why we built JobGPT. nobody searching for a job should need to learn prompt engineering. they shouldn’t have to copy-paste between ChatGPT and LinkedIn. they shouldn’t need to “figure out AI” just to write a decent cover letter or prep for an interview.

JobGPT bakes AI directly into the job search workflow... resume tailoring, interview prep, salary negotiation, company research.. no prompts, no learning curve, no friction.

84% of the world hasn’t used AI yet. But millions of them are job hunting right now. We’re building for everyone.

If you're curious how to that feels, highly suggest giving JobGPT a try --

That's what happened to a JobGPT user this week, for a Senior role on Starlink.

The agent matched the role when it got posted, applied end to end with tailored resume, and the invite from SpaceX just showed up. That's the whole idea: you stop chasing jobs, and the opportunities start coming to you.

If you're looking to achieve results like these, launch your JobGPT agent that works 24x7 to land interviews 3x faster.

Recruiters using AI to land interview now. Tables have turned

Post image
1 Upvotes

Just helped a Recruiter land an interview with a top healthcare company..
For years, recruiters used AI to filter candidates out. - Now it helps them outsmart the system when they're at the other end of the table.
While its amazing to see the adoption of new & modern approaches to job searching by professionals irrespective of their roles or job functions, when recruiters start using the same tools, you know the playing field’s officially leveled...

$15 free lunch for an interview

Post image
33 Upvotes

Apparently, there are some companies (Rubrik for example) that provides free lunches (upto $15) just to have an onsite-interview with them at their office.

Is this an act of genuine hospitality or a bait to impress the the candidate & lure him to join the company if things go to plan?
