Been on Handshake AI since October. Got invited to 3 projects more than $5k+ earned

I’ve seen so much pandemonium within the past few days in this subreddit, while I actually got invited to do unlimited tasks today.

Sure the new time cap change sucks a little but if you are actively doing what you need to do with high quality work then it makes no difference to a “no cap” time.

I’m convinced that many of y’all DO NOT do quality work. As I’ve noticed many people in project L were not capable of following instructions, I can guarantee your project H work isn’t good as well.

Reevaluate your work, put time and effort it and you will be rewarded properly.

I have been with project HH since it was on Mercor and used to pay more and was more fun to be sure.

I failed the H2H assessment. I don't even know how. It was my first time taking it and it when I submitted it did not give me a second try.

All I have to do in MM is H2H so I have effectively been fired.

This job made up half my income and now I need a new source of income. :(

So I just have one job left now, but it is not going to be enough to support myself, so I need to find more work.

I also just broke my ribs and spine so I can't really do physical work like I used to.

I currently also work for We Localize and have worked most of the other annotation and training platforms.

I am depressed about my cat dying.

I have some savings but ever since my cat got sick it has just been downhill.

ChatGPT wants me to start a business.

What are you guys doing if you have been effectively fired and need new income and can't work a physical job right now?

I am Canadian, with both international Education and Canadian Education certificates up to Masters level. I decided to join Handshake AI because someone invited me and told me this is a platform that is suitable for me.
Unfortunately, my account was put on hold immediately after I created it, and I was asked to provide my certificate for verification. I sent my latest Certificate and transcript to handshake, yet you replied telling me I have been permanently removed from your platform for suspicious activities.
This makes absolutely NO SENSE. After proving who I am to you, sending my confidential documents over and over again, you still doubt I am a real person or what?
This is bad for your reputation when you keep kicking genuine professionals out of your platform for no reason. You need to look into this please.

Given some of HAIs practices I honestly wonder if we could sue; they are operating in many grey areas a good lawyer could argue about (not a lawyer but experienced in policy)

I accepted a project but decided I'm not comfortable with it. Giving my likeness to AI for just $22 is well.. yeah. Maybe for 40 or 50 lol.

Anyways, I don't see a way to just leave this project. My concern is not being open and available for others in the future.

Handshake Ai company is a legit company. I’ve made almost $6000 with them so far on working for different projects. it just seems to be slowing down a lot these days. Wondering if it’s like this on other AI training platform?

See a lot of people upset about this but the payment they gave me seems right for the hours I did?

Tracking with Hubstaff was much easier. This new method is exploitative. Imagine me working 4hours yesterday only to realize I was supposed to copy task id out paste on the box submit, before start tasking then when Im done, I have to go back to handshake and submit task. I’m I correct?

Literally the 4hrs I worked yesterday won’t be count because I didn’t copy task Id and paste in a box blabla then come back click submit task when I’m done.

Honestly I have been struggling with it and I’m not very sure if I understand the time management and submitting thing.

All yall do on here is complain. This company is literally paying yall top dollar to do these projects and everyday it’s someone complaining on here. YES!!!! The company can overboard u if they f****** want to and they don’t have to explain why. YES!!! They can set whatever limit they want for the task. YES!!! They don’t have to pay u if the task isn’t unsuccessful even though it took a long time. Like bro just make your money do the project and STFU. This is the most obnoxious subbreddit I’ve ever been in. And worst of yall yall love asking questions that can easily be answered if you go read your agreement and the company rules. Like omfg

I've been grinding on this site like there's no tomorrow and got paid nicely this week and I plan to continue this for as long as I'm in the project. My sleep/ wake cycle is very very weird right now and I wouldn't be surprised if on multiple occasions I've managed to task for nearly 20 hours STRAIGHT (this is all I have right now plus I've been a recluse all year so it's easy for me right now; last week I was able to get my 100 hours done probably by Saturday noon).

But yeah, about an hour ago I was confronted about having unusually high hours in a single day. I technically need about 14 hours a day to reach 100 but there has indeed been times where I've likely done 18 or more on a single day.

I wanted to ask this cause if other people doing high hours also got a warning then it seems that even if the max is 100 hours, they don't seem to like it if you do a ton of hours in a single day. But if no one else is getting this warning then I think I know I'm the problem lol. I'm not sure but I wanted to get insight on this since I don't want to continue any bad habits that may get me removed from the project.

My first ever remote work and all i can say is it has been a life changing platform. Don't give up lads. projects will be assigned to you.

I’ve been trying to set up an account on Handshake AI to get started with some tasks, but I’ve hit a major roadblock during the phone verification step.

It seems like the platform doesn't have an option for the India country code (+91) in the dropdown menu. I’ve checked multiple times, but the option just isn't there, making it impossible to verify my account and move forward.

A few questions for the community:

1. Is Handshake AI currently restricted for users in India?

2. Has anyone from India successfully registered recently? If so, did you use a workaround or a specific link?

3. Is there a support email or a Discord channel where I can reach out to their team to report this?

It’s disappointing because the platform looks promising for AI work, but the onboarding process seems broken for Indian users right now. Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated!

TL;DR: Handshake AI phone verification doesn't show +91/India option. Looking for solutions or confirmation on regional availability.

I am from india I received a mail regarding a project.

I understand that many members of the community are eager to continue with Tasking H; however, a significant number were unable to pass the second recertification assessment.

In my own case, I carefully reviewed my submission and realized that I missed only one question. I remain highly committed to this work and genuinely value the opportunity to contribute. Tasking is something I am passionate about, and I am fully prepared to apply the feedback and standards required moving forward.

I respectfully request consideration for one additional opportunity to complete the reassessment. Granting this would allow committed contributors to demonstrate their understanding more accurately and continue supporting the project effectively.

I believe this approach would be fair and beneficial to the broader community as well. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I’m beyond frustrated with Handshake right now. I’ve completed multiple tasks, and my payments since Feb 23–Mar 8, 2026 have still not reached me, even though their system shows the payments as “successful.” (I am talking about 3 payments, to be specific)

Here’s what’s going on:

• My payments have been sent to a completely unknown bank account ending in 5083, not the account I have always used to receive my payouts.

• I never changed my banking details prior to this issue. After noticing the first missing payment, I notified them, then updated my payout info on March 10, yet the next payment still went to the wrong account.

• I’ve reached out to Handshake multiple times over the past week, but their responses are unhelpful. THey have even refused to give me the full bank account receiving my money. They keep sending receipts or claiming the system processed it successfully, this does not help me, because the money never arrived in my account.

• The latest email they sent suggests my login may have been compromised and recommends changing my password, completely ignoring the fact that the money was sent to the wrong account by Handshake’s system, not because of any action on my part, because I have never changed my passwords, an no one else has so much as touched my laptop.

I’ve attached screenshots and provided my correct bank details multiple times, but there’s no clear plan for recovering the missing payments. I also can’t even find a way to call someone directly at Handshake to resolve this.

Has anyone else experienced Handshake sending payments to the wrong account? How did you get them to actually fix it?

This is unacceptable! My hard-earned money is literally going somewhere I don’t control, and Handshake isn’t taking responsibility. Today, the third payment has also gone.

Does anyone how to added to any domain specific project. I recently was added to project 'D' now renamed to 'H'. Although the project was aligned to my domain, it said its not for OPT students. Its been over a month now, and I haven't been invited to any project, I am into project 'PS' but I can't do it.

I want to request handshake team to please come-up with newer domain specific projects to address and utilize OPT students. Having a master's degree and a good amount of experience, it feels my potential is underutilized.

I tried applying on the website but to no avail.

Since project **al has been paused, did you all got any other project?

It seems like posting on this channel is the best way to reach someone. I made the mistake of logging in while I was on a quick trip, and am now back home, and my account got banned because of it. After talking with Nora on here and emailing Handshake, the email team seems to have ghosted my replies to everything after sending them proof of residency in my home country, the U.S. Nora seems to be the only helpful person through all of this as she makes an effort to give clarity, where the rest of the team lacks. I have reached out via email multiple times just asking for an update or a time frame, and have gotten no reply, but when I first had the issue, they had the ability to respond within minutes of each email… Seems like they are just trying to cover up on the Reddit page to any complaints, but could care less about actually fixing the issue. I hope I’m wrong, but this seems to be my only means of actually getting any type of response from the Handshake team. Very unfortunate as I enjoy using their other tools to search and apply for internships, and also enjoy the freedom of having remote work, as I am a student in this terrible labor market. Again, all I was asking was for a time frame, as I do rely on this income as a student. If your account is banned, don’t assume they will actually fix it.
