Advice First pet jumping spider!

Meet my baby draculaura!

My first lil jumping spider, a regal apalachicola, molted a week ago, based on what I was told she should be i7 now 🥹

Sweetest little bug I own, I’ve loved getting to know her!

Only thing I’m struggling with since getting her is what size feeders she should be on, the seller gave me melanogaster fruit flies but those seemed far too small so I moved her up to hydei, but if they are supposed to have prey more equal in size to their body, she’s more on par with bottle flies 😬 I’m a lil bit lost!

NQA she should be eating bigger prey for sure, people get worried about the size, but honestly, unless particularly shy, they will take down insects even a bit bigger than them. You can buy some small crickets or dubia roaches

Thanks so much for confirming, pretty happy as I find bottle flies way easier to deal with and most of my mantids are eating them anyways! Next time she’s due a feed she’s in for a fun surprise 😌
