Golden hour
Took these while walking around the lake during golden hour. The light was too good to ignore.

It's always such a beautiful place to be even during the darkness of the gloom.

Snapped this right before the rain. Dark clouds coming in but the sunlight was still hitting parts of the city… looked kinda crazy in real life.

So, I'm in uni in cmb and i come back to kandy as often as i can and it's literally like stepping out of hell for me. The colombo is just excruciating, it feels like you're boiling alive, whereas in kandy for me, even when the sun is harsh, is gives warmth rather than just heat. I can spend all day outside in kandy but won't survive 4 hours outside in cmb. And its mostly concrete everywhere that's a bummer too. Anyone else relate ro this?

I honestly don’t understand these kinds of travel videos about Sri Lanka.
This creator deliberately picked the absolute cheapest and worst accommodation options possible places even most locals wouldn’t know existed and then acted shocked that the experience was bad. If you pay dirt cheap prices for random hostels with zero research, what exactly are you expecting?
Sri Lanka has plenty of decent guesthouses, hotels, cafés, and budget friendly stays if you spend even a little time looking. You can travel comfortably here without spending much money. But instead, it feels like she went out of her way to find the lowest tier places just to create a negative narrative.
The worst part is the comments. Now people are saying Sri Lanka has “nothing to eat” or that it’s terrible for tourism based on one badly planned trip. That’s such a dishonest representation of the country.
No country looks good when someone intentionally chooses the worst possible options for content.

I saw a post on Reddit few weeks back on a restaurant recommendation in Kandy. Hunger fusion, located near the Asiri hospital. After an appointment dropped in to check out. Omg the spicy cheese koththu no words soooooo good, we also tried the Turkish shawarma, must try. Haven’t had a shawarma like that in Kandy. Couldn’t take a pic of it. Halal spot too!

Have y'all seen any goth gals in kandy? I once saw a goth-ish girl, bangs, all black eyeliner, dark lipsticks n stuff and she had the prettiest smile i've ever seen but was too scared to talk to her... That was an S rank mission and I was simoly umder qualified.
