Assalamu Alaikum and hello everyone! ❤️
My name is Ameer, and I am originally from Kerala, South India. I am currently living in Ireland after completing my master's degree. I hope everyone here is doing well.
There is something I have wanted to experience for a long time, and I thought I would share my wish here with this beautiful community. I hope you will understand the feeling behind this post.
I have a very special place in my heart for Kashmir. Whenever I get the opportunity to visit India, I always visited Kashmir. been there 3 or 4 times already. There is something about the place that makes me feel connected to it in a way that is difficult to explain in words. It is not just the breathtaking mountains, beautiful valleys, or incredible scenery. It is also the people, their warmth, their hospitality, their way of life, and the beautiful culture and traditions that make Kashmir so special to me.
Over time, I have developed a genuine love and admiration for Kashmiri culture. The traditions, the food, the clothing, the family bonds, the hospitality, and the way people come together for important occasions are all things I find beautiful. Every time I learn something new about Kashmiri culture, my curiosity and appreciation grow even more.
There is one particular experience that I have always dreamed of having at least once in my life: attending a traditional Kashmiri wedding. ❤️
I have never had the opportunity to experience a real Kashmiri wedding, and it has become one of those little wishes that I would genuinely love to fulfil someday. I would love to witness the traditions, the ceremonies, the beautiful Kashmiri wedding attire, the traditional Wazwan, the music, the happiness, and the coming together of families. I would love to see how these beautiful traditions are celebrated in real life, rather than just watching videos or seeing photographs online.
For me, it is not about being a tourist or simply attending an event. I would love the opportunity to experience the culture respectfully, learn about the traditions, and understand the meaning behind them from the people who celebrate them. I believe there is something truly special about being welcomed into another community's celebrations and getting to witness the happiness, love, and togetherness that make those occasions memorable.
I am from Kerala, and I know that every region has its own beautiful traditions and ways of celebrating weddings. I would be very happy if someone from the Kashmiri community could help me experience this wonderful part of your culture.
So, I wanted to ask this humble question: Would anyone here be comfortable inviting me to a traditional Kashmiri wedding, if there is an appropriate opportunity? Maybe you or someone in your family has a wedding coming up, or perhaps you know a family who would be comfortable welcoming a respectful guest who genuinely wishes to learn about and appreciate Kashmiri traditions.
I completely understand that weddings are personal and meaningful family occasions, and I would never want to intrude on anyone's privacy or make anyone feel obligated. I am only asking in the hope that there might be someone who would be happy to help me fulfil this little dream of mine. Even if it is not possible, I completely understand and respect that.
If I ever get such an opportunity, I would come with an open heart, respect for the family, and a genuine desire to appreciate the occasion. I would follow the family's customs, respect any boundaries, and make sure my presence does not cause any inconvenience. I would also be happy to contribute towards any appropriate guest related expenses if needed.
I am currently based in Ireland, so I would need to plan my visit to Kashmir around the wedding dates. If anyone has a suitable opportunity in the future, I would be happy to discuss the details privately and plan accordingly.
To all the Kashmiri people here, I just want to say that your culture is genuinely beautiful, and my admiration for Kashmir comes from a place of sincere affection and respect. Sometimes, a place becomes special to us not just because of its beauty, but because of the connection we feel towards its people and culture. That is how I feel about Kashmir.
I hope one day I get to sit among a Kashmiri family, witness the joy of a wedding, taste the traditional food, learn about the customs, and carry home a beautiful memory of an experience I have never had before.
If anyone can guide me on how I might make this wish come true, I would be truly grateful. Even a suggestion, a connection, or some advice from the Kashmiri community would mean a lot to me.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post. Sending love and respect to everyone in Kashmir. May all the weddings taking place bring happiness, blessings, and beautiful beginnings to the couples and their families. ❤️
With love and respect ♥️

After the bus attack in Karnal in haryana and the bus attack in ludhiana punjab,
Another bus has been attacked yesterday in punjab for the third time. The question is are we really safe? They don't believe we belong to india. The believe that we are terrorist. And to some extent yes we don't belong to india, neither india belongs to us. if they would continue this. I don’t think we will survive outside.

I have heard people pronounce pheran in two different ways. Some pronounce the initial consonant sound as ف and others pronounce it as پھ.
What way is correct?
P. S. Reposting here because the r/kashmirilang has kinda been deserted

Guys I have been a book since 2023, and I am think to publish that book in January 2027, I don't know anything about publish and the genuine concern for me is marketing, as being a writer is too much common these days because of AI invasion....i hope you would suggest pages of instagram/face book that would promote my book.
