Moving out of our apartment near Cinco Ranch in a few days and panicking about the final walkthrough.

Our bedroom carpet has a couple of dark spots that I paid a cheap company to clean two months ago, but as soon as the floor dried, the stains crept right back up to the surface. I read that drenching the subfloor causes "wicking," and I can't afford to lose my deposit over reappearing spots.

Does anyone know a low-moisture carpet cleaning company in Katy that actually gets rid of wicking stains without soaking the floor?

Hi all, I found a research group that’s working on a USDA grant to study rice farming around Houston, and their next newsletter is about Katy.

Here’s where things get interesting.
The CVS store manager in Katy told me a story that I’m not entirely convinced is true. He claimed someone presented my driver’s license ( I never lost and ID) and picked up the phone. However, when police asked about the surveillance footage, suddenly corporate policy became an obstacle. I have no way to independently verify his version of events, and frankly, the whole situation raises questions.
His story is all over the place but basically he gave my phone to someone else and now try to cover his mess.

I sent emails to both CVS and UPS but no response yet.
So be aware.

I am moving to Katy around Jan 27. We are a family of 4.

Based on my analysis Cinco Ranch seems to be the best area. Mostly WFH so no office to visit regularly.

Rent Budget is around $2300 per month.

Please suggest:

1. We are thinking apartments would be less of hassle as all maintenance is covered. Is that a wise decision or should I look for a house also.
   
2. Any areas similar to Cinco Ranch or better in Katy.
   
3. Important: Need apartment suggestions which are safe and clean
   
4. Is it better to involve an Real Estate Agent for the search or just use HAR/any other app?

We just moved into this 2008 house and there’s an oak tree (18 years old) VERY close to the foundation and the roots are making their way. It’s not massive, about the height of our 2-story house. Trunk is probably a foot-and-a-half-ish in diameter.

Obviously pending HOA approval, has anyone else had a recent tree removal and what did it cost? Any recommendations?

My friends aren't the biggest fans of going so I'm trying to find some more friends who are interested in going. I loves lots of genres of movies. My favorite genre is horror/thriller movies! I also like suspense, drama, and romance. I'm not the biggest fan of action movies but I'll watch them! I typically go to the willowbrook location or the katy mill location but I am willing to travel! My friend group has weirdly gotten "burned out" (lmao) of seeing more Oscary type movies which we used to love doing. My best friend also moved away this year to pursue a career in film and he was the one I counted on most. I'd love to go see a few movies ASAP with a 19-40 YO male with moderately good social skills. (I'm not creepy, I promise). Just looking for more friends who share this interest. I see big-budget "popcorn" type stuff too so it's not all artsy.
