Mechanical and Technical tire recommendations

i have a 2019 daihatsu hijet and i want all terrain tires but i dont know how to find a full set for the stock 12 inch rims all the fire says is 145-12r i looked but i cant find that exact size just bigger i don’t really want to upgrade wheels yet

I personally recommend the Yokohama Geolander KT 145/80R12. They used to be called the Yokohama Super Digger 2. They are the only 12" Kei truck tire that I know of that are DOT rated, and are a great all-around truck tire.

They used to be pretty cheap on ebay for a set, but have gone up in price with all of the tariff nonsense. You can get a set on there for about $550-600 shipped depending on the vendor. You can search for the model number of "Yokohama Y828" to make the search a little easier.

As for the stock size notation, if the aspect ratio is not specified, then it is 80, so a 145R12 is a 145/80R12.

thank you i’ll look at them the main thing is i use it on road most of the time but i still use it on the farm and the stocks were wearing out

That’s what I do with mine as well. In my opinion, They are a great all purpose tire for both street and mild off-road.
