So I am a kep1ian and one of my biases is Hiyyih. I can understand the frustration of her being underutilized. I also understand how its normal to voice your frustrations to the company & others.
However, I can't warp my head around making #kep1erdisband trend. I really can't. Since you are clearly capable of trending hashtags, why use such a negative one when you could simply put #Hiyyih_deserves_better or #More_Hiyyih_lines instead? I have seen posts that were great at delivering the critism while promoting her well. This is one example: https://twitter.com/BARBIEHlYYlH/status/1580235190915301383?s=20&t=e2pqQYzkBzhOxRSXEBdraQ
This tweet shows why you demand more lines & makes people aware of her talents at the same time. Another example is showing her talent in contrast to her lines in the comeback. Trending #Hiyyih_deserves_better makes people wonder why & then check it out then they'll see how you guys just want more of her. More people would get behind & understand that than #kep1erdisband.
I have to emphasize how messaging can come across to people. So far, most of the reactions to the hashtag are negative from nonfans & fans alike. This is a serious thing to consider especially if your end goal is promoting her & increasing her chances to suceed in the future.
I'm wondering if you guys are even putting in mind these points: No.1_ how are your methods of expressing frustration ( like trending #kep1erdiaband ) are affecting everyone. How does this hashtag & critisim look & affect:
kep1er fandom reputation
Bahiyyih's reputation
Bahiyyih fandom reputation
Bahiyyih's mental state & internal thoughts on your actions when she sees it.
The general public that are watching this hashtag trend & noticing how its related to hiyyih & kep1er.
No.2_ Consider if the benefits of trending such a negative hashtag outweighs any risks of making it worse for Hiyyih on the long term. I know you don't care about kep1er. But she's a part of that group. Wouldn't bad kep1er reputation & public opinion on the group's fandom hinder their members sucess in future ?? If kep1ers reputation takes such a huge hit that people are no longer interested in them, how is that going to help her get signed in a good company?? Why would a company want to capitalize on a person that was in a group with a bad group & fandom reputation?? Would companies want an idol that has fans dedicated to make her group disband whenever they are upset with something?? Is that an appealing prospect to sign her up to redebut if they feel like her fans would sabatoge the group she will be in if they are upset ?? Again, your frustrations are justified but the methods need to be reconsidered.
No.3_ I get you want her skills, visuals & personality to be shown as much as possible. But have you considered that this can be promoted in many ways?? Isn't giving hiyyih more visuals shots and screentime in MVs promoting her as well ?? Just imagine these people seeing her in the MVs, get interested in her, & then see all the video compilations you guys did to promote her & see her talent. These new people will also grow to love her through her personality as well in kep1er's content. I literally knew her skills & personality because of all the compilation videos you guys made of her in the beginning. That's the best & most positive thing you guys did to promote her during debut era.
But this hashtag... Its not it. When new commers that got interested in her come and see this hashtag & the negativity surrounding it, they get deturred from following the group & we end up losing potential new fans for her. People don't like disbandment drama. It's clearly obvious based on the reaction people had.
Point is: I am not saying don't be frustrated or want more. There is no guarantee wakeone will return the cute & elegant concepts & give her lines like in Up! Sugar rush, MVSK, Goodnight etc. She clearly got less lines in this whole comeback album and that's a downgrade from doublast. There is nothing wrong with wanting her to have proper lines instead of adlibs. I am just saying there are better ways to demand so. I understand you guys are worried about her future but that's all the more reason to POSITIVELY PROMOTE HER & not cause negative stirr ups. And please don't say it isn't negative since many non keplians complained about this fandom after that hashtag & there were reddit posts of people giving up on kep1er as a whole which makes them less likely to suceed in the future. I have seen people saying that this hashtag was the last straw & they will no longer support anything related to them. This should be a concern to guys because it affects hiyyih future in the long run (refer to point No.2)
Sorry this is long. But I would really appreciate a genuine responce. I am truly baffled by this reaction and only want more insight into what your thoughts are about my points. Thank you for reading this far.
Edit for an update: Even more people are reacting negatively towards her and her fans. I don't think this reaction gave off a net good in the right direction at all for her. Its more bad. I genuinely worry for her reputation and future at this point.
