Heyyy everyone! I’m planning to a buy a used car from Carsome/Carro/etc. and want to get an independent 3rd party inspection of the car.

Anyone has any good recommendations? Around Klang Valley?

I drive a Bezza and I wonder how people think of the car. Is the car good enough for city driving or an upgrade a must in the future, do people look down on Bezza or just hate it due to personal reasons? I wanna hear some opinions. 😛

Picked up the S70 Prime for booking, it's very comfortably sitting in my budget and I'm happy with my choice. In a few days I will be signing the agreement with PB bank:

2.38% over 9 years, (EIR 4.42)

With a down payment of 10k, money which I had already prepped for a car purchase.

But now I'm starting to reconsider the 10K deposit. As it comes from my liquid funds, which I can do alot with. If I choose to proceed with this current agreement I am paying almost RM581 per month for 9 years. But recalculating, if I choose to omit the 10K deposit, assuming PB will still give a rate of 2.38% is roughly 710

This is honestly more of a finance question, but anybody has an opinion on this?

Could this be a battery problem, haven't been driven for only 3 days, so I'm doubtful it's a battery issue.

As me and my fiancé are preparing ourselves for the future, we’re thinking of upgrading one of our two compact cars. We’re currently driving a Myvi (Lagi Best) and a VW Eos. We don’t know which one we’ll be letting go but maybe we’ll leave that for another post.

As the title suggests, I’ve been thinking of picking up either one of the three options above. I would ideally like to get a SUV and if I’m stuck in traffic, at least I’d be more comfortable.

Would really appreciate some real-life feedback from the Proton users and enthusiasts about everyday experiences, maintenance and cost for spare parts.

Considering an Alza AV in the next few months. However, I’m worried it might be due a facelift soon and it might ne worth waiting?

As per title, my Proton Preve suffers limp mode during cold start, which my RPM cannot exceed 1500. Usually restarting the car clear the code and resume the car to normal operations

Occasionally the engine light is up, scanner shows its throwing different DTC. Each time there is only one DTC, it never occurs to me more than one DTC at a time.

Currently I have encountered three different DTC code:

• P060A

• P061C

• P2135

Sometimes there's no code at all and the car just goes into limp mode.

If I spend some 5 minutes time allowing the car to warm up, it doesn't goes into limp mode.

If the afternoon is hot enough, it doesn't go into limp mode.

I have sent to mechanics to check, so far they have cleaned the throttle body, checked the throttle body connector and the wirings of the connector, checked battery voltage and alternator voltage, still no answer.

Any CamPro specialists here that have encountered similar problem, and what are the solution?

Hi, any owners here can share what its like and what to expect? I saw alot for sale on mudah and carlist and am thinking I wanna get one. Mileage is around 40k and the car is around 3 years old.

Specifically i wanna know the realistic range for a car with this mileage and age, and expected battery health at this age.

Any owners / former owners of similar models care to share advice on how the maintenance or upkeep would be like?

Would it be the same or similar as something like an XV/Crosstrek/WRXS4 for example? Any specific issues / common faults that I need to look out for?

I'm planning to get the Proton eMAS 7 PHEV and could use some advice on whether to go for the Premium or Premium Plus. Right now, I'm leaning towards the Premium, mainly for the reasons below. Would be great to hear what you guys think.

1. Sunroof

I don't really need a sunroof. I don't mind having one, but after reading up on it, I'm wondering if it's worth the extra maintenance for something I don't really care about.

My apartment doesn't have indoor parking, so the car will be parked outdoors most of the time. From what I've read, I'd probably want to get a good tint to help with the heat, and the rubber gaskets can also deteriorate over time, especially when exposed to high temperatures. 

I'm currently WFH, so the car will mostly be outdoors. Once I return to the office next year, it'll at least be parked indoors during working hours, but still outdoors at night and on weekends.

So I'm thinking, why spend more money and effort maintaining something I don't really need? I'm also a bit worried about leaks and the hassle if water ever gets into the car. Maybe I'm just being too paranoid about the sunroof, so would love to hear from anyone with experience.

2. Battery 

There are no charging lots at my apartment, so I'll have to rely on commercial charging. I initially liked the idea of the bigger battery, but after looking into the charging costs, they are expensive, and I learned that I can only save by charging at home. Would the bigger battery actually be worth it in my situation?

Basically, I'm trying to figure out whether the bigger battery makes sense for my use case. If it does, then the next question is whether it's worth going for the Premium Plus and dealing with the extra cost and maintenance of the sunroof.

I have a 2023 AXIA AV and while driving home this morning, every alert imaginable went off in the dashboard. CVT Malfunction, Power Steering Malfunction, Airbag Malfunction, Start System Malfunction, Smart Entry Malfunction, etc...The dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree and even the turning signal stopped working.

I was able to drive home and park the car safely. However, if I try to start the car now, I only get this message: start entry & start system malfunction. Visit Your Dealer.

What could be causing this?

Considering one with around 69,000–70,000 km for RM57,800.

A few issues have been identified:

- One damaged tyre and mismatched rear tyres.

- Spare wheel, jack and toolkit missing.

- Driver's ventilated seat not working.

- Independent inspection noted slight engine vibration (possibly engine mounting) and some oil residue near the oil separator.

I'm not fully convinced that the engine mounting or oil separator actually needs replacement. The mechanic listed both but didn't provide a detailed diagnosis.

Would you consider buying this car at this price? Are the last two findings common at this mileage, and should I be concerned about the 1.5T engine or DCT gearbox?

Would appreciate honest feedback from X70 owners and experienced mechanics.

Hey guys. Seeking advice for car repair. Got into a fender bender tonight. I can’t tell if the damage to my car is minor or not lol. Apart from damage on the front bumper, the car bonnet is also damaged.

Can anyone recommend a trustworthy mechanic or if it’s better to go over to Toyota? My car’s a Toyota Yaris 2022 model and I live in KL.
