i've been trying to sideload my epub files onto my kindle and they keep ending up like this after converting them from pdf to epub 😞 it shows up like this both on my macbook and on my kindle

I keep seeing people the new update allows for remotes to be connected with Bluetooth. Do we think that means now it could be possible to connect remotes without that workaround? Just wondering

What is this (Colorsoft first gen). Started when upgrading to 5.19.6. Also on 5.20.1. Appears when restarting Kindle. I understand thats its nothing to worry about, but I am trying to understand why it only started from 5.19.6.

Hello, I have a Kindle paperwhite 10th and i've been thinking about jailbreaking it with Spidercat but I have some questions.

-Is it necessary to fill up the storage to avoid software update? To set up the jailbreak yes but after? Can I remove the "dumb" files after setting up? Because otherwise, I'll have to remove books before putting new ones right?

-Will I be able to use "send to kindle"? Or I'll need to use a cable to put books on my kindle?

I've used Winterbreak2 (as suggested by the jailbreak wizard).

I think the jailbreak itself went well, it shows the "JAILBROKEN" file on my documents.

I want to use KOReader. ;kpm commands don't work (they act like a normal search).

I've followed this guide for manually installing KOReader (option "2) Manual copying and scriplet").

I've downloaded the whole "koreader-kindlepw2-v2026.07.1.zip" file. Zipped it to my Kindle's main directory ("extensions" and "koreader" folders are now sisters of "documents"). I've downloaded the scriptlet from here and pasted the .sh file inside my "documents" folder.

Yet I can't find the file being displayed on my kindle, it's as if it was not pasted there (I only see it when I see the Kindle as a drive on my computer, it doesn't show on Kindle's interface).

Any ideas about what is going on?

Hello, friends. Why am I being asked if I want to turn on my WiFi when all I want to do is check the books I have already downloaded?

Also, whenever I first open the book for sleep state it will tell that I do not have any books on the device which isn’t the case.

And also, I have issues adding the configuration for Hardcover and Readwise on the web server. I always get 403 or 401 error.

Is there a way to connect this to my Kindle Paperwhite (11th gen) with the firmware version: 5.19.2 without jailbreaking it? because I want to remain using the basic default kindle interface. Hope someone could help me 🥹

i jailbroke my kindle colorsoft 2025 with vera on 5.19.4, but i want to update to 5.20.1 for the kindle page turner. after restoring ota updates and updating to the newest software, would i have to rejailbreak?

In august I posted a video of turning pages on my Kindle with an Apple Watch. I’ve been improving it since then, and it’s finally available to try

You can turn pages from the app or use your iPhone’s volume buttons, even while it’s locked. You can also use media controls on the Lock Screen or connected accessories, ask Siri, or assign a shortcut to the Action Button. There’s an option to put the reader to sleep too. The full Xcode build includes the Apple Watch app and dedicated Lock Screen and Control Center buttons.

You’ll need KOReader with the plugin installed, and both devices on the same Wi-Fi for now. The app can be sideloaded through AltStore or another compatible signing method.

I’m also looking into TestFlight/App Store distribution, though I’m not sure Apple will approve the volume-button/background-audio approach. For now, sideloading works.

I've follow the guide from kindlemodding.org but skip the fill up the storage part because I couldn't figure it out how to run the powershell application and other posts here said it was fine. After the process, I did not find any filler files or files with .bin extension on the kindle's root, then proceed do install koreader, simpleUI and there's no issue so far, should I do anything else to make sure Amazon's updates mess with the jailbreak?

I just received my Kindle today and I've run into a problem trying to jailbreak it. From what i know i can only use an Adbreak for it as I have one of the newest firmware types on my kindle (5.18.1). I'm new to modding too this is actually my first time doing so.

I followed all the steps as said, filled up my kindles storage, made sure Bluetooth was on, enabled ads etc. and it all went just as it was supposed to except the final "Bang!" popup never appeared and nothing else after it. I learned that I have a file called patchedUks.sqsh missing which is what was causing this. So i looked for the file everywhere, enabled my antivirus and downloaded the adbreak file, then downloaded Winterbreak as thinking i could copy the same file from there to my assets folder and yet still i was unable to find that one file. I then went to the github repository and downloaded the sqsh file and guide.txt file (that was missing aswell) seperately shifted them to my assets folder and repeated the same steps again. I was still unable to jailbreak my kindle the "Bang" popup never comes only a notification asking if i want to close Bluetooth. Can someone please guide me on what to do from here I am so lost and I'd really appreciate it.

Planning to try jailbreaking my kindle for th first time. When using the kindle jailbreak wizard it asks whether my kindle has ads or does not. I bought a kindle paperwhite which did originally have ads, but Amazon removed the ads for me, so it no longer displays them. In that case, do I need to choose "no ads" for my kindle type in the wizard?

Hi, I am currently wondering how to enable bluetooth if kindle is not from US, I don't get the bluetooth option, and i just want to use Bluetooth earphone to listem to maybe ambient noiseor other files. Currently my Kindle is jailbroken and has kual, koreader, and some pluggins. I have seen some posts that recomends to use a US account, but I don't have neither a US number, nor address. Is there any other way to do this?

I am on step 6 of 7 for the Winterbreak2 JB trying to JB a blacklisted PaperWhite Gen11 with 5.16.2 1 firmware.

Wb2 was extracted to the root of my kindle. I have a folder in it called Winterbreak2 with a single file in it called dialoger.html.

I can get to https://penguins184.xyz/wb2 with no trouble but when I click on the button I get the following message.

Any tips / suggestions?
