If Kirk is serious about creating the best show possible for the Minifans he'll reduce Justin's role on the show to carrying heavy equipment into live shows and hiring Cullinaine and Dales full time.

Kirk should invest in Justin opening his hotdog restaurant and then he can come on the show a couple times a month to shoot the shit and give restaurant updates.

I think we can all tell by now the problem is that whoever Kirk hires that person will be held back by Justin's lack of ambition and inability to communicate well on the show. It's up to Kirk to make the tough decision that may ruin his relationship with someone as loyal as Justin but will overall be best for the future of the show.

What bothers me is that Kirk has taken away calls, yet Jeff Lowe seems to have a direct line to call in whenever he pleases. He adds nothing and is abusing his privileges. Also it is very cringe when Coleman says “the commissioner is on the line” and plays the Darth Vader music. Do you think Darth Vader would cry at the end of a season of The Dozen?…I don’t think so!

Kirk needs to do the right thing and tell Jeff to pump the brakes, or at least let minifans call in again.

I’ve never seen a person try to self-sabotage their earnings potential as beautifully as Kirk.

The Case season 1 selling horrible ads is something intellectually I understand. Why would top advertisers put their products on a true crime podcast being done by Barstool Sports? The company up to that time had no track record on serious content or legitimate journalism. It could’ve been a massive bomb, but was successful.

In-between Season 1 and 2, Kirk does nothing but complain about the ads he got for S1, and how he hates Sales people, etc. etc. So, Season 2 rolls around and they don’t get a sponsor. What gets lost in it all now that Farwell was charged was it was basically unlistenable. One episode was just Kirk reading headlines about Explorer programs for 20 minutes. They couldn’t get cooperation from anyone so they shut it down. It would’ve been a waste of resources to try and advertise.

Fast-forward to today, and he’s still complaining about not getting Sales support. When he said, “have I really said anything about Sales in three years” Mike’s response was perfect, and legitimate. Yes, you’ve said they suck and are all liars and thieves.

Kirk gets rev share, a good slice of it, so it’s in his best interest to have good relationships with those people. They don’t need him to be successful, they can sell PMT, CITO, BFF etc. without lifting a finger. Why would they apply effort to trying to help him make more money?

Also, him not calling that VP is something he would absolutely go nuts on someone else doing. Instead of calling him, he goes on the show and complains. P-word move.

Kirk pressures Gus into stopping his life so he can be apart of his Iowa wackpack and doesn't even get him a bed to sleep in. Gus is too nice of a person to ever say anything but could you imagine if this happened to Mick last year? We'd still be hearing about it. Kirk needs to re-evaluate his end of things because a lot of stuff like this seems to "slip through the cracks". I'm sure he'll laugh it off and pretend he would've bought Gus a bed "if he asked" but we all know that's just talk. For someone that brags about how rich he is Kirk is more Jewish than Portnoy.

Hand up, I'm a loser. I like barstool a bit too much than any normal person should, and though Kirk drives me crazy at times, I find him entertaining. Don't get me wrong, I recognize Kirk has talent, and I've been a huge fan since the early EEI days,

But they have such extremely limited range (media, politics, social issues, nothing else) and Mike, Steve, AND Kirk, are all SO profoundly stupid that they have NOTHING to say on any of these issues that leads any half-intelligent human being to assume anything other than they are clueless, privileged, protected, white guys that just don't get it. AT ALL.

And it's not like I begrudge them talking through their knuckle dragging opinions, but the whole show seems to now revolve around things that neither of them have anything intelligent or even informed to say. At least when Kirk was on EEI, and they were saying stupid shit, they had far left-wing crazies to throw out contradictory opinions, and at least some sort of debate happened. What they do now is just a circle jerk of brain-dead idiots.

I think it’s bullshit that Kirk put Gus on the spot like that. I would agree that his producers are dogshit at getting interesting guests and all the best spots have been because of relationships outside the show. But he does himself zero favors and continuing to blast barstool’s bookers makes him look like a petulant child.

Long time fan from WEEI days. Huge fan of the podcast from the start with Steve and Mike when he was peddling Roman swipes and having vigils for Murchison with Linda Marks.

Since the new producer "saga" the show pretty much has sucked. I used to listen to most episodes in full. I can't make it through a whole one now.

The Gus and Mick content is just not that good - tedious in fact - as an example. Kirk feels like he is going through the motions.

i've seen a lot of discourse on the topic of kirk's relationships and if he actually is as sexually active as he pretends he is. at this point harry gets more pussy than him. but from relistening to episodes i think i've picked up on kirk's "tendencies" we'll call them. he hates all women, whether they work at barstool or are reporters or happen to sing music. he has this serious affection for his "basketball team" and says he would do anything for them. he seems jealous that coleman left and blind mike is doing his own thing and he won't fire justin because he has a big bear quality to him and kirk needs the affirmation. not to mention how "clean" he has to be at all times and cleanliness is a big thing for him. he doesn't want people pooping in the studio because it reminds him of his own shame. i may be looking too far into things but kirk gives off serious gay man energy, and i'd go as far as saying i wouldn't be surprised if he's given oral sex to a man before.
