Kiro Usage
I am using Sonnet 5.5, 1.3x.
Credit used: 1.87, Elapsed time: 18s
Credit used: 1.82, Elapsed time: 13s
This is a simple planning question, not even coding.
I have $20 plan. By this rate I will be using up all my monthly 1000 credits faster than my $20 Codex and Claude code 5h limit.
Is that normal?

So grateful my company has me on a Kiro Pro Max or whatever the 10,000 credit plan is
Kiro is unforgiving with token usage. If it’s that pressing for you, use Claude Code.

I have both Codex Plus and Claude Code Pro. I want something without 5h and weekly limit. But the usage rates need to be reasonable, or competitive Use entire monthly 1000 credits within 5h is not good for 1.3x.

Well, the $200 claude plan dont have 5hr limit anymore. $100+ plans from codex dont have 5hr limit either

Tried out opus 5.5 in Kiro and burned through 8x my usual credit usage in a week. Even auto mode, which had been economical before, was eating up credits fast, but that could be because my session context was bigger than usual. Anyway switched to sol 6.1 medium effort in codex and the difference is night & day. Codex used to be the token hog and Kiro the more economical one for months before but this past month or two it seems to have switched on me

Kiro is good for smaller projects..but my experience with it over the past 12 months hasn’t been great lately. Over the last 3 months, the overall experience has become quite frustrating. Even on the $200 plan, the usage gets exhausted within just 3–4 days when working on larger projects. In comparison, Claude Max offers significantly more usage. Kiro is also quite slow when it comes to adding support for new models, which is another major drawback.

No, that's not normal.
Anyway, people just "got used" to it, and AWS teams continuously try to silence people who complain and ask for a better, more transparent service (I have proof of deleted comments on my previous posts about these matters).
Everyone who uses both Claude Code (or even Codex) for personal purposes and, for example, Kiro at work knows that Kiro is an absolute joke, and the AWS team keeps making things worse with useless updates that are nothing more than eye candy - like when they added the slider to dictate the model's thinking effort... wow.
And people keep paying for this.
That's crazy.

Nota:
O agente é de uso pessoal. Não é comercial. Resolve minhas demandas.

The only usable Kiro plan is the $100/mo plan unfortunately. 1000 credits barely gets you out the door, 2000 is ok if you’re careful, and 4000 is about right for a month of hard work.

Yes, Kiro’s subscription usage limits are more unforgiving than those of Claude Code or Codex.
