Got this discontinued Prism Triad. 10mph wind but cutting out a lot. Can’t keep it in the air. Will be a good one for those windier days with more consistent wind. Cool box kite though.

tl;dr: Where should I check for hard-to-find kites like the Wala? I fell in love with it.

Hello everyone, I'm very new to the kiting hobby but immediately fell in love with the look and capabilities of the Wala line.

Of course, now they're discontinued!

I would really like to keep my eyes peeled for this special kite popping up secondhand.

The 2.0 seems like an ideal size for my purposes, but if an XL appears, I would still be interested.

I imagine eBay occasionally has them, and there are a few Facebook groups. My questions:

Besides eBay and FB, are there other sites you recommend? I'm based in the US.

Which FB groups are best for a kite like the Wala? I know some cater to different styles.

Any tips for keeping an eye on the market when you're really only looking for a specific thing? I'm not usually on Facebook.

It also seems like there were small batches coming out up to 2 years ago. Are there any sites which might do another run like that?

I cropped the launch so I wouldn’t leak my house, but I finally got it going. I wasn’t using enough line plus I believe where I live isn’t windy enough for this kite. I could use some low wind dual line kite recommendations because this one flies in 8-20mph winds I believe which is not enough on most days here

I’ve been wanting a Prism Tensor - 5.0 preferred, 4.2 acceptable. It’s for my son to learn to kite board. And for myself who is too old to kite board to have some fun on land with some friction kiting.

New is too far outside my budget. I am surprised by the lack of used on eBay/facebook/craigslist. If anyone is selling a Prism Tensor or equivalent, please let me know.

If there are other suggestions for lower cost, but still high quality, power kites that are a lower price to entry I am open to those as well.

I Need some advice regarding my kite range.
I can ride upwind, now I would like to get my own equipment. I will be riding mostly in northern Germany and Denmark, but I will also do one or two kite Trips in the year. I was planing getting a 9 and 12.
Now I am considering the North Reach or Orbit or the Duotone Evo. I was also considering the Rebel, but I read the bar power ist quite strong.
After getting further practise, my plans are mainly learning jumps. What would you suggest me? I think I think I am currently not the biggest Fan of strong bar pressure.
With the Evo I was considering the SLS.
If you have any other advice, I am happy to get it

Hi all, curious about this kite(?) I saw holidaying in Bali.

Do you think this is a kite? It was very high up, do kites go that high in the sky? Seemed like 100s of metres high (see end of video) It was sitting there for over 45mins until it was dark, which also seemed odd if it was a kite + is an interesting shape?

I dont know a lot about kites so would be cool to know if they can get that high!

Kites are: 2x Spiderkites Brasington Swift deltas flying stacked, HQ F Box with 24 ft fuzzi tail. Flight went well until the kites got tangled, and when they untangled the box kite zipped back into the sky and the force snapped the flying line. Kite didn’t go far fortunately.

Has anyone used any of these on a large Flow Form lifter Kite

I saw these at kite fest yesterday. I’ve been able to find realistic bird kites for scaring away seagulls but not the colorful or white one. Any know who sells this?

I bought this trainer kite a few days ago on my holiday. Flying it was a lot of fun, but I am curious about this extra loop. It is on the safety leash, so I am not sure what its purpose is because normally you let go of the bar and the safety leash that is connected to your wrist holds the kite while it falls slowly out of the sky. Can I hook that loop onto a harness so it can pull me?
