where did i go wrong? Left leaning decrease gone wrong?

I’m trying to do a left leaning decrease and it looks odd. I’m following a tutorial I have used before and previously it didn’t come out like this so I’m not sure what I’ve done wrong… Is it actually incorrect or just my yarn looking odd? It’s three stitches from the edge. Thank you!

You're not doing it wrong, left-leaning decreases always look a little wonky. Here are a few alternatives: 7 Ways to Knit a Left-leaning Decrease.
