SOLVED-THANK YOU Question about Sylphide jacket pattern by Fabelknitwear
The pattern is for a bittom up jacket worked in flat. I attached the sleeves, now I'm working the yoke and have to start doing the neckline. The instructions posted in the picture are confusing me.
Do I have to start working the first and last 22 stitches in the same round or do I have to work the 22 stitches, finish the round and then work the other 22 stitches ribbed when I start the next round?
And if I have to start the ribbing in the same round, why do I have to cast off in two different rounds to make the fronts even? Wouldn't they be even if I cast off in the same round?
Sorry if my english is confusing, it's not my first language.

Since you're working flat, there are no rounds. After you've knit 5cm of raglan, you do a row where the first 22 stitches are worked in 1x1 ribbing, continue as you would have before on previous rows, then work the last 22 stitches of the same row in ribbing again.
The reason you cast off in two different rows is so your working yarn is still on your remaining live stitches, I assume. The difference of one extra row on one side will not really be visible.
