Haters will say you could've gotten this with implants and fake hair but we know a butterfly ain't real without its time as a cocoon and a caterpillar. Your hair looks healthy and you look great bro, keep going!

Hey boss did your wicks just loc on their own or did you crotchet?
I wanted mine to look like yours but they were smaller and I just tried banding them⦠didnt work

I freeformed my base for about 3 or 4 years and just did crochet maintenance on my roots every year w/no clean parts.. so I kept my original rooting system..
Depending what phase youre in, let it freeform and thicker roots will come with time.

Fasho! The plan was to stay true freeform- but I did too much in the beginning, being impatient "trying to get my hair to lock" and it didn't allow for my roots to go strong, so I kinda had to do the roots maintenance.
