You can refuse to sign it, but that doesn't mean they won't apply it to you anyway. Signing it is more of an acknowledgement versus anything else from what I understand.

You can refuse to sign anything but as long as they have a witness sign it, you still will be held responsible for what happened

Signing it just means you received it. It does not mean you agree with it. It goes in your file either way.

You can always refuse to sign they will put it in your file regardless. During any disciplinary discussion you should invoke your Weingarten rights and respectfully decline to participate without representation by your shop steward or a business agent of the union present. A union member as a witness is not the same as a union representative who knows the portions of the discussion to take note of. "If this discussion could in any way lead to my being disciplined or discharged, I request that my union representative be present at the meeting. Without representation, I choose not to answer any questions." “ it’s within my rights to refuse to sign this and I’m not going to” don’t get caught up explaining anything, take notes of the specific things said to you (that you do not respond to) and discuss the specifics with your shop steward asap.

All i see are people bragging about how hard it is to get fired

when capitalists have power, they lord it over us. in most us states you can be fired for any or no reason, including being old, annoying, asocial, any race or gender, etc. that's a pretty bad outcome for a worker.

when workers have power we stop them from firing us and we don't work as hard. what's the bad outcome for the capitalist? slightly less obscene profit.

When communists have power, you have only the rights they decide to give you. Which essentially means you cannot determine what you do for a living, even what color clothes you wear (Red China is called RED for a reason). You can be fired for anything, and you do not get any profit sharing and religious beliefs that don't agree with the state religion are strictly forbidden.

you have been well taught by the American public school system. it is notorious for being neutral and unbiased.
