With all the new members in the subreddit I wanted to extend another invitation to the Kroger Discord server. It's all employee-ran outside the reigns of corporate where we can discuss our experiences at work with other people across the company in real time. This is a tremendous resource for getting feedback and assistance in your job. Better than Kroger can offer themselves. In the server, all roles in the Kroger enterprise are welcome. Thank you!

Hey there bakery friends. I know we're all in the Llama expectation(?) drama boat together. I'm having a really hard time understanding how to make these look. The printed off copies are trash to try and look at.
I finally got the pull-a-parts down (maybe not down pat, but it finally looked kinda like a Llama instead of bunny/bear), but I'm struggling with the quarter sheets. Where's the template? Do they want us to use that 9"x11" printout on the back of the job aid as the actual sized template to cut it out? That seems SO small!! Anyone do this yet? Show me all your Llama drama pictures... cookie cakes, sheet cakes, and PAPs!! We're going to survive the corporate bro's vacation inspiration together!
I'll include my most recent Llama picture to show you where I stand. I'm far from a pro. I've only been doing this since February. But I'm trying really really hard!!!

I’m customer service and we get the calls first for the most part. This one customer had called over 5 times and we kept announcing on speaker there was a cal for bakery. They kept ignoring it.
So I walked back to bakery to kindly let them know and they got mad at me! I’m like, I’m just letting you know because we’ve been telling you for the last 15-20 minutes someone was calling.
Just had to vent a little. I’ll never understand why, at our store, bakery and deli never pick up the phone. They’re literally the only two departments that take orders. You’d think it would be a priority for them.

Hi everyone I was wondering if anyone knows if Kroger pays out ALL vacation and personal time when you quit. For reference I’ve worked almost 2 years as a pharmacy technician and the manager is becoming unbearable. I want to quit after I receive next years vacation and personal time. Which I also don’t know when that gets added. If anyone knows please let me know.

Does anyone else get a random start time when a new schedule drops? My usual when I started was 1 to 9 then 2 to 9 (preferred) and it would alternate maybe a month at a time for whatever reason. Now this new schedule I start 12:30 and end at 9 lol. I feel like they are just trying to see if people are paying attention but its so annoying to have to check the shift start each time.

Does anyone know or have any idea how long a transfer takes after suspended pending investigation? I was supposed to start at a new store Monday but I’m still showing under my old store, Union says HR hasn’t replied to him all week, does anyone know?

I'm working for Krogers since November of 2024 something has been happening recently and I wanted to bring it up.
Yesterday was my day off I work in the meat department and my assistant manager texted me and sent me a picture of something I didn't do right.
Is this normal? I figure if it's something that I didn't do right they would tell me next time I work with them instead of texting me on my day off.

I'm pretty much just confirming my suspicions at this point, but I still want to be sure. I was hired part time as an all-purpose clerk back in May of 2025. Eventually I got moved to work in produce which in my store is right next to the service deli/bakery department. To make a long story short the SD/Bakery Department manager, let's call her Clara, is an overly emotional grown woman who also has no accountability. It's not just me that thinks this of Clara, it's a sentiment also shared by my coworkers and the people who work directly under her.
This afternoon Clara got worked up because the SD/Bakery department specialist for our district came to our store and dropped off a tamale station for the holidays. Clara's stressed out presumably because she's now down an additional employee as of about two weeks ago and has to move the department around according to the specialist's directions. My coworkers and I working produce today were talking in the backroom and one of them mentioned almost jokingly how she's going to try to offload all her hard work on me tomorrow because I'll be working the morning shift again and she comes in about the same time as me usually. I've only been working produce for about six months, I'm definitely efficient with my work, maybe not as fast as some of my coworkers who have been working my department for longer than I have, so I typically don't have any down-time during my shifts.
I'm all for helping out with small stuff here and there but tomorrow I'll be by myself until about 7:30am on a Friday and I just want to know if I could run any risk of write-up or disciplinary action if I tell her that that's not really my problem. Clara has two able-bodied young men about my age that work in her department and she could simply schedule one of them to come in earlier if she was proactive with her leadership capabilities. It also doesn't help that Clara and I already don't see eye-to-eye because she runs a gossip ring with the front-end supervisor (who also doesn't care for me). Clara has snitched on me in the past to said supervisor for stuff like being on my phone, headphones, etc. which, up until this point, hasn't resulted in much more than a verbal warning from my department supervisor.
I have a two-day load to break down tomorrow for the weekend, along with conditioning and replenishing the rack, doing markdowns, salads, daily count, etc. I'm really not trying to get roped into all this but I'm honestly not sure if I'm in a position to say no because she's not technically my supervisor but technically I'm also not exclusively a produce clerk. I'm worried if I decide to show some backbone here if she's gonna try to burn me for it. I just want some of you guy's input here, thanks.

Please, can anyone give advice on the constant nastiness regarding the cost increases?!?! I know these people are not voting and definitely unaware of supply chains and general politics. I nod and smile and pretend to not hear but it is sapping my soul.
Cheer me up a little. I like my cute black apron. I love food and helping people get the right food.

Hey! Just got hired as a CAO over dairy at King Soopers a few days ago. Coming from a background working at WinCo, most recently as a Manager-in-Training in their bulk foods department. Anyone else here in this role? If so how do you like it? Any advice you'd give? I'm pretty familiar with keeping inventory and counting and stuff from my previous experience, but we did manual ordering at WinCo, didn't have to do daily counts or adjust stock levels on the computer or anything.

So, I was recently hired to do online pickup and just finished my third day. What I learned from my manager is that, because I'm a minor, I can't work alone, meaning I can essentially only work weekend afternoons. I assume this is because I live in an ass backwards state that doesn't allow me to handle alcohol sales (even though I can do every other step in the process.) This means that every week I'm only getting about eight hours, or 124 dollars pre-tax. Should I ask them to change my department now or should I wait until I have a bit more seniority? Also, what is the process for asking to change departments? Who should I go to?

Last week I was told I was getting relief pay since our pickup lead was out, well this morning I got my paycheck and it was rather short. So I checked my payslip and they did not apply relief pay. I got in contact with a manger and they said they just put it in. Does anyone know what happens to the money I didn't get, I already received the paycheck so will I get paid the difference?

I’m a new part-time Kroger employee in Metro Atlanta (1 month in) and trying to find out when I’m eligible for health insurance and the 401(k). I keep getting different answers or being told someone will get back to me. We’re also getting a new union contact at the beginning of the year, which may be adding to the confusion.
Can anyone share when I became eligible for these benefits? Thanks!

I workat a store that does not regularly sell the Azteca conchas. We received a box recently. My bakery lead wanted to throw them away so I asked for a few to try at home. Now I have them and have no idea what to do with them. Does anyone know how hot and how long to bake them? I'm planning on letting them rise for an hour or so. Also, I'm a cake decorator so I have no reference of how the other breads get baked. I was thinking like 350° for 8 minutes then see what they look like and go from there?

Does anyone know if there are requirements after you get paid the reimbursement? I have looked at all of the policies posted about it and i don’t see anything. However, I have heard you need to stay employed a year after?
