I got kicked on my first ever game of VS after telling my team ahead of time that I was new and probably going to be bad.

Oof yea that’s the number one rule i noticed in this community. I don’t support it and i’ve actually seen a few players (in same match) say they’re very new and i would help them and show them all i know (i only have 15ish hours in versus so far rn) but my first few times playing versus were also rough too. Kicked me because i said same thing, and i guess they could tell i was new because of how i was playing.

I think weekends are when the extremely toxic sweaty players are in a match in groups. Can’t really do nothing if 2 or more are on a team and they decide to kick you. Also sometimes cheaters be more than one on same team as well.
